    Possible mislabeled wire?

    No, gauge is gauge.

    Load center brand preference

After over 25 years doing this I can honestly say, ANY new major name brand is FINE. SqD QO are no better than any other brand. All brands have had issues with AFCIs, QO being one the worst in the early days of them. By now most have worked out the bugs. Either way, any brand, even Murray and...

    Champion Generator

When I drag raced generators were not much of an issue. With motocross, it is OBNOXIOUS when someone is running a Champion or other cheap genny at full tilt all night long, or even during the day depending on where you are pitted. IMO that is one of the main reasons to go with a quality...

    Champion Generator

My question is WHY only 2K?? You are not planning on using this for home backup are you? I'd use a 2K at the racetrack to power a fan, microwave, power tool, chargers, etc. That's about it.

    Champion Generator

That should tell you something. Tractor Supply sells GARBAGE tools, power and otherwise. Don't get me wrong, I love the store. I can get things there that I used to only be able to get mail order, but their tool selection is a disgrace. Champion is bottom of the line Chinese cheap.

Q: Where to buy Rigid conduit

Plumbing galvanized might be available in 20', but not electric.

Cost of tamper resistant 20 amp receptacles

That's why splices and devices are required to be in boxes. That was not near the point of causing a fire, but if it was the box would have done it's job.

Cost of tamper resistant 20 amp receptacles

The floor does not enter into it. It's whether the area is finished or not. Concrete floors are very in right now in many finished areas.

    A/B Switch for 220V Outlet?

Do you really believe what you wrote, or is it simply what someone told you once?

    A/B Switch for 220V Outlet?

By far the simplest and cheapest solution. And perfectly code legal.

    A/B Switch for 220V Outlet?

Any code citations to support this??? How is this any different from having two 1500W appliances plugged into the same kitchen counter circuit?

Is this single or 3 phase?

How do you figure? It's 8.3A @ 220V and 1.5kW. 3-phase would be far less.

    "Thanks" or "Like' button?

This forum is the exact same layout and feel as many others I frequent. Most of them have a "Thanks" button down where the quote and quick-reply buttons are. Has the admin here given any thought to adding Like or Thanks buttons? There are a lot of threads I agree with as far as technical or...

    Condenser Wire & breaker size

This is fine for people who would rather over-do and over-spend without knowing what is code required and code legal. The topic of this thread is an air-con condensor. That chart and link you provided does NOT apply. It is quite possible that the 29MCA unit can be wired with #10 and put on a...

Thoughts on mounting gooseneck barn lights

Yeah, well, unless that conduit extends to a box that is a blatantly code illegal installation. Actually, from the looks of it with those plumbing fittings code is not something you are concerned with.

That's exactly what I was describing. Nice job.

    Fair price for additional outlets

I for one certainly don't need a break down of what the material cost. I am WELL aware of that. IMO though it is completely meaningless. They give you a price, if you like it, do it. If you don't, don't have it done. Simple as that. People that start throwing what our material cost and how much...

Thoughts on mounting gooseneck barn lights

The hole in the ext wall is one support and a rigidly mounted box on the inside is the other support.

Thoughts on mounting gooseneck barn lights

You can do this if the gooseneck goes directly into a box. You can enter the back of a box and then put a blank cover on the front.
