Anyone ever used a Ryobi RAP200 paint station

My neighbor told me I could use his Ryobi RAP200 Paint Station to paint the inside of my new 2-car. He hasn't used it so he doesn't know how well it works. It seems (internet search) that the opinions are love it or hate it - no middle ground. I will be spraying Behr High Gloss latex...

    Time for decision on lighting

Never though about the bugs & dirt - was going with the wrap because I liked the idea of the bulb not being exposed.

Spacing for 8' doesn't work out for me.

    Time for decision on lighting

Its finally time to get the lighting - 22' x 23' x 8' garage/shop. I have run wiring with 4 switches - and was thinking of 4 rows of 4 strip/wrap lights. With the separate circuits I can turn off the lights that would be blocked if door was up. I can't decide if I should go with the 2-bulb or...

Mini Split too $$$ - Looking at LG thru wall

Cobra6 - What height did you install the unit? Everyone I have ask has had a different opinion - on floor, 2' up from floor, as high as it will go and still see controls.

Mini Split too $$$ - Looking at LG thru wall

Well I decided on an Amana PTAC - From a local business that is cheaper than anybody I have found online (including local taxes). Going to pickup Unit, Sleeve, Grill today - doing framing/drywall tomorrow.

Mini Split too $$$ - Looking at LG thru wall

I am putting this in a Garage 22 x 22 - not a house. Time spent there would be a few hours an evening - not 24/7. I am now leaning toward a PTAC/PTHP -Amana PTH12E Heat Pump. Cost about the same a Thru-Wall, but is a HP that does cooling & heating.

Mini Split too $$$ - Looking at LG thru wall

The pricing I got was from local HVAC companies, for a 12K Mr. Slim unit. Even at $1000 - that is twice the price of a LG thru-the-wall unit. I am assuming that the pricing does NOT include all the little items needed for installation (these add up).

Mini Split too $$$ - Looking at LG thru wall

Well the local guys are talking about $2500-$3000 for a 12K mini split system. I can't justify that kind of money for a 22x22 garage/shop that will only be used a few evenings a week. So I am starting to look at LG thru-wall units since LG holds the top spots on the latest Comsumer Reports...

What is best height for AC/Heating unit?

A friend gave me a combination AC/Heater unit that he bought at Sams. He wasn't sure the heating part worked but the AC worked fine. I am going to do a temporary hookup first to see if everything works. Anyway my question. I am going to do a fixed wall mount it (it mounts like a window unit)...

Lithonia Wraplite 3348 wiring outside fixture

I saw a reference to having to connect wiring outside the fixture in a box in another thread. W have 16 of these that I was going to use but after seeing this am about to return. I will be putting up a metal ceiling so cutting holes for boxes combined with having to put in boxes that don't...

    Garage Door Seals

I ordered a 18' Cloplay door, after I installed it I called Cloplay about the adjustable of the door. They said that most of their doors now come with rivets, They sent me (at no charge) the needed bolts & nuts for use after drilling out the rivets. It took me longer to remove the rivets than...

Wiring lights - wire run - connector boxes?

I am going with 4 switches - so when the door is up I won't turn on those lights that are covered by the door. Or when I am going out to get something from the garage I would only turn on one row (just enough light to see).

Wiring lights - wire run - connector boxes?

Forgive me if I don't do a very good job of explaining this. I am wiring 4 rows of 4 double fluorescent lights - on 4 switches. Is it better to have 4 connectors boxes (one for each light or 1 connector box with leads running to each switched light row? The building has 2x4 trusses - would it...

    New 22 x 23 garage lighting ???

Thanks for the suggestions I went to my local Lowes yesterday to see what they had in-stock. The guy in the lighting department came over and was asking me what I was needing - so I went through the 24 x 24 garage story. He was insistent that I would be crazy if I used anything but the 8' T12...
