Kobalt 19-Piece 3/8 drive metric tool set 50% off

They have been on sale for a while. I picked up a metric set for $10 with the coupon they were running a few months ago. Even at $20 it's a good deal.

milwaukee bits any good? good deal at home depot

I love my set. I bought the big kit with socket adapters for my impact driver. My only complaint is the terrible case design on the big kit, but those sets look like they don't have that goofy plastic flap.

    Found a cool ratchet

Yes, they are loading just fine for me. It's one of those dealer demo snappy ratchets with the clear plate.

Whats the best spray on penetrating oil?

Funny thing, if you ask shooters about what they use to clean and lube you'll end up with a 50+ page thread with several account time outs and at least 5 bans. I don't know why everyone gets so defensive about their chemicals, use what works for you. I use PB and liquid wrench and I've never...

Let's see your cordless impact wrenches...

I have the same Rigid set. I love the impact driver because it torques my lug nuts pretty damn close to where they need to be, just a quick turn with the torque wrench and they're set. Makes tire rotations a breeze and saves me a ton of time, I used to do everything by hand. :badteeth:

    Looking for non stinky screwdrivers

And these types of hilarious "why u dun smell your tools fer?" posts show up in every stinky screwdriver thread. If your screwdriver's plastic starts to break down you will smell it, regardless of whatever else may be on it. It is an unmistakable and powerful vomit smell. The effect gets much...

    Looking for non stinky screwdrivers

You'll know it when you smell it, it is an overpowering vomit smell. It's not just Craftsman either, I have some smelly Xcelites that I need to replace.

    Looking for non stinky screwdrivers

There are no solutions. The smell is the plastic breaking down.

What if Sears sold ONLY "Made in the USA Craftsman Tools"?

Tool sets are still made in the US, open stock is now from Asia.

What if Sears sold ONLY "Made in the USA Craftsman Tools"?

How many homeowners or hobbyists are realistically going to encounter an etorx? Maybe the Sears stores around you are different, but the two here that I frequent are nearly dead. There are always more people working there standing around than there are customers. The stores are downright...

What if Sears sold ONLY "Made in the USA Craftsman Tools"?

I don't think it would matter honestly. One thing forums like this suffer from is being an echo chamber. GJ probably represents 0.001% of U.S. tool owners, while we would know and care about something like COO, most tool buyers/hobbyists/homeowners don't care. They want the best tool for the...

When do you stop buying tools

I was, until very recently, a "buy it when I need it" guy. But now that I have a proper box and a place to put all of my accumulated tools, I have an urge to complete sets, expand my ratchet collection, etc. etc. I'm a weekend warrior, so I might stop once I fill my current chest... But that...

    Masterforce toolboxes sale!!!

I stopped by one of my local Menards today and the old Masterforce boxes were completely gone. I am so glad I got my side cabinet a few weeks ago, as the new boxes have been redesigned. The new boxes are very nice, and you can special order them in black, red, or blue.

Are the higher end jacks/jack stands worth the extra money for a weekend warrior?

And they are identical to the 6 ton HF stands that I have, except they are gray. I have a sneaking suspicion they are all the same thing, made in the same place...

Are the higher end jacks/jack stands worth the extra money for a weekend warrior?

I have been using a HF 3 ton jack and HF stands for about a year and they seem to be holding up. I am a weekend warrior, and I'm also a believer in the overkill approach, I use 6 ton jack stands for my 4400 lb. Explorer. I've only had the truck in the air to do ball joints and even then I wasn't...
