It is stout. I just used the dimensions of the table and chairs to get it to proportion to blend with the rest of the set, it will never match. This actually a down sized version from where I started, reduced a few things in size after propping them up in a rough dry fit. The unknown part, for...

Wrapped up the kitchen table bench ( small / town house sized) Same process as other stuff I've done. Its for my GF, its old growth Cherry from her parents property. The finish is 4 coats Tung oil. The mismatch plugs to hide the screws was to entertain myself. Extra bracing (walnut from previous...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Swapping out the oil pump on the 2 stroke. Its been seeping and it's time. Pricey $$$ sumbitch, but so is a new motor and it feeds the compressor which is a significant component to the fuel system and motor on a Pro XS series Mercury.

Small items. I became a fan of the ball grip Vessels. The magnetic tips are significantly stronger than others I own. The TOP screw driver was purchase for specific uses. The width, curve and thickness perfect for some specific firearm tasks and fasteners.

Retrieved clamps to glue up the bench. The task of getting pictures from my phone to the computer has been a challenge, I send them and they arrive when ever. It about wrapped up. It has its first coat of Tung oil on it as of last night. Oil pump for the Mercury showed up yesterday. The bench...

    Rebuilding a rusty XJ

Looks as if the project is moving along nicely. Lots of work "for a Jeep" and will need a proper engine to match the body/ paint work.. When does the 392 6.4 Hemi get delivered?

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Kitchen table bench is in the first stage of the glue up/ clamps. I have 6 pieces that will get glued and screwed to the inside of the skirt next. Probably wrap it up tomorrow then put some finish on it later this week. I'm thinking it's the last wood working project for a bit. Boat maintenance...

My position on "the scale" is going to require you to center that fan on the radiator.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

A little kitchen table bench work, made a tapering jig for the legs, fitting this and that..making some progress. The tapering jig maxes out my little table saws blade height. Second rendition, first out of 3/4 ply and the blade wouldn't raise high enough. I ran the taper 1/2" over 10"s...I'd...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

A little time working on the kitchen bench. Ran the top through the planer, selected a top side and cut to length, maxed out the cross cut of the radial arm saw. . Kinda fought cleaning the legs up on the joiner, ended up using the table saw to get them to the final dimensions. No complaints...

What did you do “IN” your wood shop today?

Cross post, dressed some lumber, rough dimensions for a small kitchen table bench. Fighting some tear out with the planner and joiner. I've salvaged everything so far. It's Cherry and has been air dried, not kiln dried. Maybe that's causing the challenge? Cherry I find easier to work with than...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Wrapped up a few pieces for the bench, the pieces are just roughed out. I have some gluing, planning, joining to do before anything gets cut to dimension. Moved it all inside to get ahead of the weather so I can get it glued up sooner... I have some boat projects up next and want them done...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Dressed some lumber for a kitchen table bench. Pretty simple project, much like others I have done before. It's for my GF's table, the lumber came of her parents property. It's Cherry, to match the table. I have it roughly sorted out. Pictures later..

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Wrapped up my drill press project. Random challenges for no reasons during re-assembly, but I wrapped it up as the sun set. I'll take a few more pictures in better light before I put in back in its place. So much better with the new motor, mounting plate, switch, cord and bearings...although I...
