Anyone have this Strong Hand WAC35-SW Welding Clamp

The way I look at it, you're only going to buy this thing if good results in a short amount of time is important to you. If your time is that important (semi-production work), then you might as well spring for the other 3, and spend $800. You could make it work with 1 clamp, but if you're...

Sliding track for shop lights ? Need ideas

I'm surprised nobody's mentioned using unistrut/superstrut. It's plenty strong, and can do double-duty as a light hoist. http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2542651&postcount=6

Has anyone made their own 3 axis welding clamps?

I like one of the ideas from a commenter on that video: Use a 1 7/8" hitch ball. http://www.etrailer.com/dept-pg-Balls-pc-1~7|8_Inch_Diameter_Ball.aspx

How To Run 220V to Detached Garage?

This thread makes me nervous. I've run 240V to my shed, no problems. Depending on the distance though, it may be cheaper to have someone come out to do it. I don't remember the exact amount, but it was $3-400? for a licensed electrician to put a 100A subpanel in my garage. The subpanel is...

What Tool Brands do Professional Mechanics in China Use..?

Not sure where this is coming from. Just because you've only seen **** tools from China doesn't mean that's all they know how to do. Just take a look at your computer/tv/phone. They make stuff as good as we're willing to pay. It's foolish to underestimate your competition.

Would you guys buy a factory reconditioned power tool?

I bought my milwaukee bandsaw from that place, looks/works as good as new. Also bought my worm drive skilsaw from there. It was in perfect condition, and has been working flawlessly.

Should I try selling my racedeck, or just leave it down?

Moving... did you sell your house? If you did, do the buyers know that they might not be getting a racedeck garage? That may have been a reason why they bought it.

How do you store your tie-downs and ratchets?

I put mine in one of these: http://www.artpromos.com/detail.asp?ID=11684&deptid=414&RPP=16&sort_by=sortorder#.UUi5P7-LRWY The ratcheting part goes in the main compartment, the straps get wrapped around the hook, and put into the smaller compartment. The smallness keeps them from untangling. I...

Instead of solid rubber tires, I've seen some fancy carts with "fenders" to protect the tires from welding spatter.
