As to big wrenches being a waste, here's how I feel. Even small hydraulic lines use large fasteners. Blow a hydraulic line on a piece of heavy Equipment in a tight spot, and you will want a selection of large wrenches. Machines always seem to break at the most inconvenient, worst, busy, times...
