Need help identifying some metal cabinets

Kewaunee made a lot of the cabinets in my labs over the years. That style doesn’t look familiar, but there’s at least one possible maker to check out.

    The Horologist’s Shop

Back then they were indeed acrylic. My first Rolex, c 1984, is acrylic. Nowadays (and since 1988-90-ish IIRC) they're a synthetic sapphire of some sort.

    Harbor Freight ICON Magnetic Matt

Seven of 'em on the rack at my local HF yesterday. I use one to hold tools on the inner fender and to keep a large microfiber towel in place as paint protection when I'm working on my Triumph TR3. It's great for that.

    Harbor Freight ICON Magnetic Matt

I have a couple of ‘em, and I‘ve given another as a gift. The first one I got lucky and simply found on the rack on a random visit. The others I’ve had to be there the day they arrive or the next morning. The magnetic mat is really quite a good product. Worth the hunt. I use mine all the time.

    Residential garage car lift suggestions

Maybe a 1-post lift, @newpain01? When I visited a forum friend in The Netherlands a year and a half ago we stopped for coffee at a few of his Saab and Triumph gearhead friends (I own, and he used to own, Triumph TR3s). This gentleman's portable, 1-post Twin Busch lift seemed more than capable...

Need US General toolbox yellow paint match

Check the RAL series of standard colors. That German association manages lots of color standards globally (although less so in the USA) and RAL colors dominate the powder coating world. I’d bet a nickel the USG color you’re looking to match is one of the yellows in the RAL system. With that...

    Possible New Age Imposter/Scam site?

I got my NewAge Pro 3.0 7-piece setup from Costco online a few months ago. It arrived in perfect condition and I’m very happy with the stuff. They have a number of NewAge options on the Costco website. Still figuring out how I want to set it up, so the slatwall isn't mounted and the ss worktop...

Tekton technical article, "JIS vs Phillips: Understanding Tip Geometry, Myths, and Fastener Compatibility" Nov 2025

Here's a JIS-dot screw on my 2001 Tacoma's MAF sensor years ago that I almost stripped using a conventional (older) Phillips driver, before I noticed the dot and went back to the workbench for a Vessel driver. That took it out perfectly, and the second one came out without a mark. First one...

    Push pin removal tool

Your fastener looks a little different, @308guru, than the ones I'm used to on my Toyota/Lexus vehicles now that I'm looking on a larger monitor. It looks like the outside ring is molded into the plastic part. The center-pin kind I'm used to are separate fasteners inserted into a hole in a...

    Push pin removal tool

Use a pokey tool of some sort to push in the pin. I typically use a rounded-off small screwdriver. I’ll go partway in and you’ll hear or feel a small click. The center pin doesn’t have to be pushed all the way out, and in fact it’s easier to keep it attached. Once you lift the fastener out...

Knipex Twin Grip - I was wrong!

Anybody have both Twin Grips and Vampliers (or the Engineer equivalent)? A real world comparison would be useful. I use my Vampliers often and really like this basic concept.

    Push pin removal tool

Push the center pin inward and the claws that hold it become loose. It’ll come out easily. Reset the pin by pushing it outward and reuse the fastener by pushing the pin in to set it. This is a common Toyotaworld trim clip.

    HF Fuel Transfer Pump

I have the hand pump from Griot’s Garage. It’s OK. It comes with about 6’ of PVC tubing. Pumps well, but it seems to swell a bit in contact with gasoline despite that being its intended use. They’re pretty proud of it. It’s pricey. I’ve had one of the hand bellows-pumped cheapo plastic...

Anyone close to an advanced auto ?

Eleven in NM, but I guess we count as a Rockies state. Their store near me in Santa Fe is moving to bigger digs soon.
