    c91x 36x40 shop build

Re: c91x House and Shop Build We found this cracked slab of Fusion Quartzite that is normally ridiculously expensive but I knew I had enough to get the laundry room and bathrooms done with it and with the discounted price, we couldn't beat it. Shower and tub tile This was the spare...

    c91x 36x40 shop build

Re: c91x House and Shop Build We ended up having cabinets made for the kitchen and built ins next to the fire place but bought some ready to assemble ones for the bathrooms and laundry rooms. These actually saved us a bunch of money and were really well made ( no particle board and soft close...

    c91x 36x40 shop build

The shop will be 36x40 with 12' ceilings and a lift. Its primary purpose will be building old cars but like most of them on here, they end up getting used for quite a bit more. It will be equipped with a lathe and mill among other fabrication tools. Here are some pics of the mockup. I'm...

    Lockdown / Covid build thread

I'm jealous. My job has been a nightmare since covid really got going and i've had less time off now than I did before. I'm the manager at an aviation facility where my employees have to maintain a medical clearance to do their job and are in close proximity to each other while at work so its a...

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

I finally put a vehicle on it and it appears I'm low on one side by an 1/8 to 3/16's all the way up. I checked to make sure the locks were fully seated when I was cycling the lifts up and down but obviously I was wrong. I need to lift the one side and put some flat stock under it and call it a day.

    ZMotorsports Shop Projects 2.0

Blows my mind that there isn't snow covering the mountains and your yard. I lived in Mountain Green/Morgan area for a few years and it seems by November my yard was covered in snow and wasn't going away till Feb/Mar.

Thats a weird one on the X not starting as well as the piston detonating marks. I used to run JE high comp pistons in my 250r and 450r and never had an issue running 91. I think the X models use even lower compression than the stock R models. Don't you clank both ends on that 450x on anything...

    Aluminum/Composite Expedition Camper Build

Absolutely love this build. I had a light weight pop up truck camper for years that was by far my favorite camping rig. My wife and I don't do campgrounds so getting as far back as possible is the goal and the truck camper made that easy. Of course now with kids involved we have a toy hauler but...

More engine swaps please! I've got a 02 CR80 sitting here that is begging me to turn it into a play bike. Its such a clean bike, I just can't bring myself to cut it up.

New product ideas for Harbor Freight?

Someone mentioned it but i've been waiting for years to see a real tubing bender there. Years back when they first came out with the english wheel and tubing roller, i thought it was just a matter of time but guess i was wrong .

Small Homemade CNC Plasma Tables 2' x 2'

With something that size, do you still need to pay the customs duty fees? I've ordered some larger things off of Alibaba and didn't pay but the last thing I ordered was rather large and I had to hire a customs broker.

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

At first i thought maybe they were not welded on correctly but that wouldn't cause it to be progressive through their range. I'm going to put a vehicle on them and see if maybe the locks are not going in all the way. If that doesn't work i'm going to see how thick the powder coating is on the...

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

Not sure if anyone else has had a similar issue but if you have, i would love to hear how you solved it. I purchased the lift maybe 3 years ago as i was building my shop. I didn't get them mounted and plumbed in until around 6 months ago. The issue i'm having is that they are not level when...

Smallish attached 2 car, from @%#^ mess, to '60's pop-art retro service station/diner

Just read through most of your thread. What color did you end up painting your mustang with? My Fairlane is sonic blue pearl and it has a little too much purple in it.

3 phase to 1 phase - VFD vs SPC vs DPS

Just wanted to update this. I asked about using a rotary reverse switch with the DPS and the manufacturer stated you could. A user also replied stating that is how they had it wired up for their bridgeport and it was working. I really wish they had more info on what the DPS actually does to...

Thanks I'm going over it now So expensive though. If I had more than one 3 phase unit I would go that route.

3 phase to 1 phase - VFD vs SPC vs DPS

Bridgeport 1.5hp 2J variable speed Mill I really like the simplicity of a static phase converter. It would allow me to use the original drum switch for forward and reverse. They can be had for around 80 bucks and are known to be very reliable. Problem is they only give 2/3 the power rating but...
