    Vinyl cushion grip screwdrivers

I own multiple of this style. Dewalt, Klein & Greenlee.. Klein was by far the best feel of them. Then I got the rubber covered Tekton set & everything else just feels mundane compared to them. The triangleish grip I thought was weird, but now I love em.

Its coming along.. My Little Big Compressor

Pretty much every pressure switch I have ever owned seemed toy like compared to the Square D's I have owned. Most everything else I have replaced with square D just because I like them. & if there was a comparable product from Square D I would have bought it even at the inevitable higher cost.

Its coming along.. My Little Big Compressor

Some progress today, but nothing actually done. Receiver should be available to go pickup middle of next week. The place with the wrong one yesterday has the right one on order for me & he got notice it shipped, but no tracking info on it yet. Also I have been trying to pick a magnetic...

Champion R15B Air Compressor Rebuild Info, Photos, Tips (Long)

I had read the complete thread including Erik's response saying that Kevski was wrong here about the threads, but as there was no other info one way or the other I went ahead & ordered McMaster 5220K84 & can confirm that this absolutely does not fit.

Its coming along.. My Little Big Compressor

It took me 3 months of checking CL and the Facebook classified’s no less then a dozen times a day to get the last one and it has a cracked tank.. Stationary 30 gallon units are much more rare and expensive to begin with.

Its coming along.. My Little Big Compressor

I have thought about this as well. I dont have room for anything else in the garage itself, however I do have rafters above the sheet rock that have plenty of open space. Eventually I am thinking I will toss a few small tanks up there for just extra air volume.

Its coming along.. My Little Big Compressor

This is spot on... If I needed a 60 gallon vertical (or 80 for that matter) I would just go buy a new compressor at lowes or home depot & then flip everything buy the receiver. It would be cheaper.

Its coming along.. My Little Big Compressor

Well the search for a receiver continues. I went down to buy the local one & no flippin top plate on it so its no good. I have calls in to everyplace local that services are compressors for the cost of a tank & the only one that has gotten back to me only has it with a bunch of extras that I...

Old used compressor - what to do before startup

What TonyJ Said is spot on. Your looking at probably 2-3x the cost for no actual increase in performance. Unless you already have the 3/4 copper I wouldn't go with it for the runs either. If you do already have it so your not spending on it then I would go with the 3/4 Filter/Regulator at the...

Old used compressor - what to do before startup

The plug is fine. You can use a plug with more amperage without a problem.. You just dont want to use one thats not enough. I have the same 50a plugs for both of my 220v 30a outlets in my garage just because thats the most common used in a garage. If you had a 220v welder that only used 10a it...

Its coming along.. My Little Big Compressor

Some progress has been made.. Some good & some super craptastic The good.. Motor was delivered.. Poor FedEx guy couldnt of weighed much more then the motor & did a awkward little waddle carrying it up to the front door & doing everything he could to put it down nicely. The Super...

    ANOTHER screwdriver thread

I have the Big tekton (black and red) set and the Ernst organizer.. The screwdrivers are great for my big hands (xxl glove size). I wasn’t sure about the shape at first, then when I started using them they are fantastic.. I have a lot of different screwdrivers and these became my go to almost...

Its coming along.. My Little Big Compressor

Neither.. Sold as is with instruction to hydro test first.. Listing was also for a rusty tank so there was no secret to what they were getting. The rust inside was also much much less (no major pitting) then the last rusty old tank I sold and it hydro tested fine at 240psi.. Seems like most...

Its coming along.. My Little Big Compressor

That’s good to hear. My old compressor would keep up but just barely. And it was loud.. really loud.

Its coming along.. My Little Big Compressor

I hope so.. I spent a year trying to find a pump and small tank to build this thing to the way I wanted it.

    Compressor tank ok ?

Honestly lots of rust used to scare me... But with a hydro test of 80-100 psi or so more then you will be using it at it doesnt scare me so much anymore.

    First big air compressor

No problem... Honestly I think I would go with the kellogg if you had the time to put into it because its 1/3rd of the price & pretty... Otherwise that Quincy is a damn fine much more modern compressor.

Its coming along.. My Little Big Compressor

Couldn't find a compressor that would do what I wanted & fit in the little space I wanted it without spending way more then my budget... So I am piecing it together myself.. Receiver: Started with a Gardner Denver 30bvacc10 for 250.. stripped it down & sold the little pump & 3 phase 1hp Baldor...

    First big air compressor

Also if your willing to put a bit of work into making it look pretty & the motor is single phase 5HP I would take a long hard look at the 300 dollar Kellogg in Blackfoot... Its also in the 17cfm Range at 175psi. Its got a lot more style points going for it then both the Quincy or that Devilbiss.

    First big air compressor

If those are your only 2 options then the Quincy for sure. I think devilbiss is pretty much defunct in the compressor market where as Quincy is still a big quality name so long term parts are more likely to be easy to get. Ignoring that you are just a few hours down the road from me & both of...
