    Oops… lost a spring

Matco kits will fit the Armstrongs, if that is an available option. The spring under the pawl is the same one for the pawl based on what I've seen, though only a couple of my ratchets have had them.

1/2" dr split-beam torque wrench w/fine-tooth ratchet head

I have a 1/2 PI, got it mainly for being faster to adjust and used it for tires often, For whatever reason it was reading 20lb low, so I had my Matco guy send it off, Have not got it back as of yet, so no idea on cost of re-calibration. I sent of a Snap-on 1/4 clicker and it was 95$ I've...

Woolwax Spray Gun - Thinner Cavity Wands?

From the limited research I've done Woolwax is supposedly thicker then Fluid film, I cant tell much difference, though the gallon can of Fluid film I have is a couple years old and the Woolwax at work is recent. I did find these straws/nozzles on ebay for Fluid film spray cans, I was debating...

    E torx spanners

I had picked up an XDRE707 set from the Snap-on guy, doesnt show up on thier site though for some reason. Fixed box end with ratcheting end as well. E6 through E16...

    Socket Press C-Frames

I usually use the BJP1 for U-joints, 3/4 ton + Ford axle joints have plenty of clearance with it vs. the basic OTC press I have. I dont recall having to change any Dodge axle joints with it though. I do have a socket press from Matco, I assume it's a Cal-van rebadge, not sure. I've yet to...

If you use RTV you're Nuts if you don't get Yourself a Valco Cincinnati Tube Grip

Very worth it to get one if you use the squeeze tubes any amount. I had bought one and then promptly got another for home use after trying it out.

    Funnel draining bucket

I have a square bucket from Menards (with lid) for most funnels, some pig mat on the bottom. The one Lisle funnel I use the most is on the side of the one tool box, some magnetic cup holder thing I have that fits a 1qt Gatorade bottle with a hole in the cap big enough to fit the funnel and...

    snap on make mig pliers?

The pic Epstien's has, if you look close they are dual marked with Channellock and Wilde. Just happened to notice. I have the Channelock and the Welper/Japan pliers, both do what is required of them, maybe slight edge to the Welper pliers since I have used them more at work, the Channelock...

    E-TORX Sockets

I have a Napa set (Gearwrench clone set), no issues with them. Essentially this set, https://www.tooltopia.com/GearWrench-KD-80583 One of the smaller ones, E8 I think, got replaced with a Carlyle since I managed to lose it, I added an E10 Matco in 1/4 drive. Fit doesnt appear any different...

    Hobart clearance at Tractor supply.

Was at Tractor supply getting some animal feed, & did the loop around the store. They had a couple size large welding jackets marked down from 95$ to 24$, picked one up for the boss as I really didnt need one, but I couldnt pass up the torch kit at the price on the sticker. So it may pay...

    UV lights for AC dye.

I have this light, it's fairly impressive and found a leak that none of the other lights in the shop found, including the Streamlight switchblade I usually use. Decent magnet too. Run time could be a little better, still decent if not on the stupid bright setting...

    M12 3/8 ratchets

I've used the regular fuel 3/8 ratchet on some car caliper bracket bolts, mixed results, mainly from random amounts of threadlocker and/or rust. I ended up with a 1/2 drive fuel ratchet two years ago and it does better with bracket bolts, car/truck, but some it just wont handle, threadlocker...

Duck Bill & Stork Needle Nose Pliers - Better than regular Needle Nose pliers for Automotive Repair?

I bought the 6" variety and have yet to use them (other then playing with them). I fail to see what the fuss is all about I guess. :dunno: I'd go with the regular 196ACF's and if slip joints are needed, 47ACF's. The 47ACF's are my go to pliers for hose clamps, I've used the 90* needle...

New Wheelbarrow - Help me decide.

I have a Jackson, pretty solid unit, got it probably around '10. No issues other then the typical tube issues and the flat free tire it had for years rotted out and I've yet to replace it (tube tire back on). I'd buy another as long as it's the same build quality. I did not use the bolts...

    Short torque wrench suggestions?

Inch pound torque wrenches can be had, usually 50-250in-lb or so, (roughly 4 to 20 ftlb). If in 3/8 drive, they're usually a 3/8 drive in 1/4 style ratchet set up. still about 12" OAL.

Parasitic draw on cordless tools ?

IME, I've had Milwaukee batteries with presumeably a full charge trickle down to 3/4 charge (based on the indicator lights), I puzzled about this and came to the conclusion that when jarred enough (and often enough) the light on whatever tool will come on for a short period and that's what was...

    Mini Slide Hammer Kits

I have the same one from Matco, handy for odd stuff. Pulled seals with the screw tip and the claw thing for pulling bolts and something else, plus small races with the hook.

    1/4” Flex-Head Ratchets: Matco vs. Snap-On

I have a good number of Matco's in 1/4 drive, preference there, along with S-K 40970's. That said, I do really like this particular Snap-on unit for under dash and low torque...
