    Epoxy floor question

Rexthane is really thin so it would take at least 2 coats of Rexthane, maybe even 3 depending on the size of the flake. The 1000 Hs is also a little thin as well (3-5 mils DFT) which makes it more difficult to flake into. So it may take 2 coats of that. My suggestion is contact on the GJ...

    Ballistix Protective Sealer/Coating

You can use 100% solids epoxies and they have zero VOC's. Most topcoats tend to have VOC and odor but you can use water based topcoats or low odor topcoats for example. Most of the vendors in this group have something to offer in that range.

This will happen to a floor if it's just an epoxy finish. You must topcoat with urethane or polyaspartic to prevent this.

Flooring advice - paint removal and recoat

i would contact the manufacturers who post in this forum (Armorpoxy, Garage Flooring, Legacy Industrial) to see what they think but I have always ready that the best way is to always remove and prep using a diamond grinder. Without you knowing what’s on your floor currently, I doubt they’ll be...

Fresh Concrete Floor - Sealer? Epoxy? Something else

Depends on budget and want type of finish you want (clear, pigmented, flake, metallic, etc.) Urethanes and moisture cured urethanes perform very well and withstand the beating a floor with heavy duty traffic gets. Normally an epoxy broadcast system is used underneath those coatings. Concrete...

Fixing uneven and unclean top coat

That is horrible workmanship. I would have to ask for them to at least sand the existing floor and recoat. And I would be there watching I’ve then while they did it to put some pressure on them. That effort is terrible.

    Polyaspartic garage floor coating concern

As long as the polyurethane is pigmented then it's UV stable. If It's clear, it can yellow the epoxy underneath but that's the same thing for polyaspartics. Full flake floors are another great option to avoid yellowing. My suggestion is epoxy with polyurethane or polyaspartic topcoat but it...

    Polyaspartic garage floor coating concern

Polyurethanes are better against hot tire pickup then polyaspartics. Depending on what you’re looking for, an epoxy primer and polyurethane topcoat is a great option if you want a colored floor. Several of the vendors in the forum sell kits designed for DIY applications (include etc, tools...
