Craftsman Tool Chests With Combination Locks, Anyone Know Anything About Them?

I have one. 1963. That's an old snap on calendar on the lid. Didn't know combo. Locksmith got it in about 5 minutes. For free. It was installed with rivets. I had to drill them out and install the screws. Once I get good with drive rivets I will put it back to original. Any one have drive rivet...

Stanley Black & Decker buys Craftsman

It's Official - Craftsman sold to SBD Craftsman hand tools has been sold to Stanley Black and Decker. Tools will still be carried in Sears stores (if you can find one). They are closing 150 stores. Probably little hope of bringing them back to MADE IN the USA. We can hope and...

    Lowes selling Fluke again

Something else is fishy. If you google the fluke 110 most places say discontinued. But LOWES has a 110 PLUS. Seams odd to me.... Especially since the FLUKE website has nothing on the 110 plus.

    Lowes selling Fluke again

Not saying specifically this is the case, but the 110 model might be a Lowes only product. Lesser cost, etc... The big box stores do that often. As an example I own a weather station that is made by Acurite. In the model number there are two letters, BP. it means Bass Pro. I bet you a buck it is...

    Craftsman Industrial 2016

Glad to see the premium ratchet line hasn't died totally on the vine. They just switched it over to the industrial line. Which means probably too hard to find and WAY too expensive for the average Joe. Or Ed in my case... Too me average guy they are nice. I like my 3/8. I know there are better...

    Great customer service at Sears

My best bud (my wife) bought me a 3/8 premium drive 2 years ago for my birthday. I know she didn't pay full retail for it, because she is always protecting our finances. She knew I was soured on Craftsman. But she bought it because it was USA and new that mattered a lot to me. At the time I had...

Ratcheting Chuck Key, but what for

I was shocked at how smoothly it works. I do the tighten a bit, spin chuck, tighten a bit, spin chuck and tighten a bit method. Right or wrong that's how I was shown to do it as a kid. With this thing I know I would over tighten the first hole

I was at the Apex Tool Group plant today

I hate to see Springdale take a hit. I have several great customers there. Off topic I know, but I tell people that the nicest folks on the globe live there. I always hate leaving. I just got back from there yesterday. As a kid I went to that area a lot. There used to be a gap between Rogers...

    Wilde 1985 Special

I do agree. And they have laid folks off. Just saying I hate that they had to sell overseas. The good news, they pump a lot of money into KC. I am not a hater at all but I work for a U.S. Manufacturer with 100% U.S. Content. We are NOT the low cost leader in what we sell. It is a premium product...

Every place has it's positives. You have my favorite beer. And close to water... But we are all lucky via the internet to have them. They are prideful in their USA offering.
