My new (to me) tool box.

good deal. My bosses macsimizer is a nice box but... after using it for who knows how many years the detents are not so good at holding the drawers in while moving it. This can be a bad thing when working around low wing aircraft. other than that it is an awesome box

    Kobalt tool cart

I have the kobalt and it is better than the hf black cart. I even had a 4 inch vise mounted on the side tray before I got my snap on box to put it on. Better casters are the only thing it needs. Solid box.

    Screwdrivers...

I have lots of real world use with a lot of brands as a professional A&P. My search for the perfect screwdriver has cost me money so let me save you some. 1. Snap On. The best hands down no questions asked. They fit tight, don't strip heads, remove previously stripped, have no play in the...

    Auto techs: terminal crimp tools?

There are specific crimpers for every type of terminal. You must find out what type of connector your using to determine the proper terminal, then find the proper crimp tool. I have over $1000 in crimpers in my tool box and I'm no where near fully equipped, although I'm in aviation and they...

How has your snap on experience been?

I'm in a 2 man hangar. We spend more between the two of us than most large shops I think with our snap on driver lol. It's been nothing but positive with my snap on driver, his time varies by about 30 or 40 minutes but he is there every week, even when we don't have a balance with him. He is...

    Anything else for multi meter?

I don't know what kind of calibrator he was talking about, but the set to calibrate my Agilent U1253B is not something you would buy to check your own mm lol. I send my mm off once a year for calibration and if I'm iffy in between cal's I have a set of known resistors to check resistance and I...

Do you Need Truck Brands To Be a Good Mechanic

You hit the nail on the head. Everyone is smarter, better, faster than their mechanic once they get a set of tools lol but that is fine. I make more money when a guy brings in his homebuilt airplane that he put together with hf, and autozone tools. I make more money on every stripped...

Old Snap on hard handles still available?

The logo's are stamped and screened in. It doesn't scratch off like a screen would, these are used every day in tight spaces. My hard handle 1/4 drive ratchet in green was used hard for 8 months with no noticeable wear on the lettering, for what that is worth. I traded it in on a red handled...
