New Garage build In NW Arkansas and insulation

Midwest - my 2 cents. With what you have and 24k you can keep from freezing. You'll just pay through the teeth monthly to do so and never hit comfort. Just send it with what you have.

New Garage build In NW Arkansas and insulation

I'm in southern MO. What are you doing for ceiling insulation? What are you doing under slab? What are you doing for interior lining? 1. 30x40/50x14 with 2x6 walls [r15] 24k isn't going to heat or cool, unless the best air sealing possible and at least r60 ceiling insulation. 2. The slab is...

    Insulation conundrum

    1. Ensure your trusses are engineered for bottom chord dead load... for lights alone technically need at least 5lb/ft². For tin and insulation you really should seek 10 lb/ft². Tin and insulation with 0 or 5 lb/ft² bottom chord dead load has been done many times but it's not advisable and could...

    Pole barn heat.

Showtime - need for information. Is there concrete for floor? If bare dirt don't waste your money on hvac until that changes. 36k isn't going to be enough for that size and depending on location you'll pay through the teeth for hyperheat.

    Klein D2000-48

Channellocks are not made in USA, generally. If your set are keep them! Klien is more made in USA, to include your current tool.

Question about insulation of rafter baffles

After R19 it's a point of diminishing returns. Sorry look at the EPA charts. If this is your forever home and you use everyday, get the highest R value as possible anything else, just get to R19 and air seal. Code for insulation is so behind vs technology it's not funny.

    Solar power
