adding a garage door on side of attic

On my dad's shop, there is a hole and rail for a sliding door into the attic, like you would see on a machine shed, so that's another option. Note, it has never had a door on it yet, and has been covered with plywood for ~20 yrs now.

    Craftsman 1/4 Drive Set

Thanks for the restore ideas guys. I've also considered drawing it up in CAD software and having it 3d printed, but have not been THAT bored at work for awhile.

    Craftsman 1/4 Drive Set

I've got a small SO set that the plastic tray is about shot (duct taped together). I have thought about trying to use some sort of resin or epoxy to fill the back side of it, even if it makes it a solid (heavier) block. Have not figured out what exactly might work yet though.

Tool box recommendations for future A&P mechanic

Seems to me you will catch more **** from the kids at school about the box/brand thing. Brush them off. In the real world, people with the level of training you will have will know to treat others with respect. I work with a 70+ year old mechanic, who spent the latter half of his career...

Why you don't let friends borrow tools

Look at his name. Everyone knows what happened to Bruce Wayne's parents. He can't possibly mean his dad.

    Concrete Slab for Shed Help

Just tear out the old and pour new. Your existing slab is 10x10x(guess) 4" thick. That's just over 1yd of concrete that you would save. Not worth $100 of savings for the trouble involved. Tear out all the old and pour a new 10'x12'x4" slab. That's 1.5yds. Around here you get an added...

    Ok, who bought these?

Not to far from me. I'll have to keep an eye out for others.

    Mechanics Tool & Forge Company

Looked at these tonight and I guess I remembered wrong. I have 5-6 that have only the stamped "MAC" and C part number, and size stamping, no location mark. One 3/8" is interesting in that the fractional size is raised as a part of the forging, but the MAC is stamped. I'll try to grab a picture.

    Mechanics Tool & Forge Company

Digging this back up. Is there any indication of when the "Sabin, OH" disappeared from the tools? I have a number of old Mac combo wrenches, some with the double lines, and some that I would say are older. I believe all have the location name.

    Weekend finds

Ran out of things to do at work Friday, so hit up a couple garage sales on the way home. First, grabbed a tray of misc for $1, has some clamps, including the oddball shown (any hints?), and a Dunlop Power Screwdriver (I need to do some more research, but I am sure it is useless to me). Also...

Are these tools of any value?

A lot of specialty tools. If you need them, you would already know. Lot of bodywork tools, someone else would have a better opinion on their value. In hand tools, I sell value of roughly ~$1000 if it were on any auction in the Midwest. Box is not a snap on. No idea what it is.

    Long reach undercoat gun?

Does anyone have something (homemade or purchased) that is a sort of long reach paint spray gun? I am trying to figure out how to apply POR15 (thick paint) to the inside boxsides of my pickup (between the outer skin and the inside of the bed). The best way to reach this area is by taking the...

    Need 1/4 Extensions

somewhat related. Does anyone other than tool truck companies, offer longer 1/4" extensions. I was looking awhile back, and it seemed like 6" was the standard maximum.
