    Craftman professional/indusrial tool box

Year or so ago on CL here (Waterloo, IA) there was a similar Waterloo lower. It was two columns of drawers instead of that cabinet door, but had the same long drawer on the bottom. figured it would be handy for putting prybars and longer hammers in the bottom.

Reality shows with unlimited shop equipment

Do you think the hosts would know what or how half of the things are in the shop? Sure they're gearheads or whatever and probably have an idea, but doubt any of them are experts and much.

Best way to MIG weld a cast steel exhaust manifold?

Didn't read thru all this, but will add my .02. We recently had to weld some Hi Sil Moly cast parts for an OEM test setup, and found we needed a NiFeMn wire. Supplier got us Royal 44-30, price was about $400 for a 10lb spool. I believe we used Argon/CO2 mix gas.

You guys with shop woodstoves, fast fire.

old Blue Point / Bonney screwdriver

Have a couple of old screwdrivers that probably came from an auction. I know the handles were in in good shape when I got them, but they have greatly deteriorated since. Both are similar, the end of the handle had a threaded plug and a spring underneath it. Kind of reminded me of a test...

Best tool you've ever found in the street

My best is a green soft grip Snap On 32oz ball peen hammer. Found it last year just outside of a construction site. Never backed up that fast in my life. My dad has me beat. He has a SO L872 ratchet head, 3ft handle with an extension and socket he picked up on the side of the road. He...

    Electrical Parts Storage

Thanks for the comments. One of our clients who works onsite often has used some photo storage cases that consist of a large case holding like 20 small 5x7in cases. Each big case would be a series type, and then the small cases hold pins and different pinout connectors. This is probably our...

Need recommendations for hand held shop light

EzRed xl3000 Most of our shop mechanics have them. They are cordless and plastic, but seem durable. Forget to turn them off overnight and they will still last the next day. Our SO guy sold them, but they are on Amazon for 2/3 the price. I have warrantied one through SO guy when it quit charging.
