My custom crafted metal and wood tables and shelves

My suggestion for attaching the wood would be to make your guides underneath wide enough to get a screw into the wood. Doesn't have to be anything big, but a screw will keep the prices from falling out when the table is moved. One screw in each end of each board is enough.

    I-Beam strength

Are you planning to only support the beams at the corners/ends of beans? If so I will say no way that's heavy enough.

Half decent 4-1/2 inch angle grinder under $100

It's the same size as the 6 or 7 amp they sell. Not that heavy. Has a good feel to it. May be an inch or two longer than some others, but it's a very nice 4.5" piece.

Saw this on eBay, Reed NIB with a 1912 stamp. This isn't mine, but if it's 100 years old and NIB, that's pretty incredible. Anyone have any insight as to whether this is old or newer? http://bit.ly/1fMDiUc

Is it worth insulating my garage? If so what steps?

Since there is snow on the ground I would definitely insulate. I put R-13 all the way around my garage walls, then drywall. Put a ceiling up in the garage and then blow in insulation over top of that. Huge differences. I did all this and it was enough to keep enough heat in my garage to melt...

    The VISES of Garage Journal

I picked up a 3.5" Prentiss for $40 over the weekend. It's been repainted, a few small hammer marks but everything else looks and functions as new. Going to look for a bigger Reed too. Probably a 104

    Lets see your workbench

I'm in the middle of building this bench for my garage, it'll get finished this weekend. 8ft L x 30" D x 38" H. 10 ga steel top, .125 steel everywhere else. Removable vise, electrical outlet, lighting overhead (needs to be added still), gets doors in each of the three openings and is on wheels.
