I have a Milwaukee 9 amp 4.5", great piece, dad has had the same one and it gets way more use than mine and only issue has been the paddle switch needed replaced (was just worn out from use). Got it on sale for $75 probably last a lifetime.

What kind of power you expecting from a blown straight 6? That's very cool. I'm building a '49 Chevy, went a little different route for power though.
