    industrial air hose reel?

I just got one of the Reelcraft ones pictured in the link above. Out of no where my brother in law called me on Friday, said he had a hose reel from work he was told to take down and get rid of. Thing looks TOTALLY brand new. Crazy how expensive they are, I am even more excited by it now!

I actually have a coiled hose TO mine, it can be disconnected for short work, plus makes a nice connection to the reel itself.

Rookie Mistake= Near Miss with Drill Press

Thanks for sharing. I got in a hurry once and turned the drill back on while I still had my fingers wrapped around the chuck key. Not too bright, banged me up a little. One of my first "real" jobs was at a pretty decent sized sheet metal fabricator. I was hired to replace a guy who cut his...

Gladiator Wall cabinet on clearance at lowes

You've misinterpreted what I wrote. I don't expect them to know the exact price of every single item in stock. What I DO expect them to know is that many things they sell are sold by the foot, and it should be fairly obvious that a 10' long piece of iron pipe costs more than $2.00. If it IS...

Gladiator Wall cabinet on clearance at lowes

Actually, no it's not "like" that. That would be stealing. The clerk not having caring or having enough brains to know a 10' stick of black iron is worth more than 2.00 is not the same as knowingly walking out with merchandise without paying.

Gladiator Wall cabinet on clearance at lowes

And, I hate to be this way, but that is EXACTLY what you should have done. They are the ones that work there, represent the best interests of the store and whatnot. It happens to us a few times a year, I'm not going to do their job for them.

What's a fair price for this snap-on station guys?

$3-$4K for that box is a joke, I understand its not new and all. I would say $5,500 to $6K considering it was in good to very good condition.

    insulation ????????????

I wouldn't mess with it. I know this sounds dumb, but a few times this winter i have had to fire up a 140K BTU propane torpedo to cut the chill while working in a totally uninsulated (open eves and ridge vent) pole building. Obviously, this is a disastrous waste of fuel, but when it is 18*...

    Where to start?

Yes, very vague. BUT, I have seen this done (successfully) before. There was a very long and detailed thread on DTR (a diesel truck forum) a few years back, dude build I nice sized pole building and partitioned off a part of it into a two story house. Also, my old neighbor build an "In law"...

Another "what wire size" thread (sorry)

I was referring to the 2-2-2-6 in the link above: http://www.southwire.com/ProductCatalog/XTEInterfaceServlet?contentKey=prodcatsheet15 The actual TOTAL length, box to box including all turns, and connections at the boxes is 121 feet.

Another "what wire size" thread (sorry)

Is voltage drop going to be an issue over this distance? I got 100AMP panel yesterday. Think I got a fair deal, the breakers themselves would have cost me more than this...

    Pole Barn using Commercial Girts-Questions

Can someone define "commercial girt"? I just had a pole building put up, since it was done with glu-lams (22 footers) they didn't notch, they used 6" screws to attach to the top. The skirt board is fastened to the outside of the poles. (2X10 treated)
