the $8 pr ft is just the metallic and clear. They are charging $850 for "clean and prep floor. Will do a 1 step grinding to open the concrete and clean all contaminates from surface.

does $8 per sq ft sound reasonable for a metallic epoxy floor coating? Will be done in a garage.

It held up great with jack stands and jack. Never welded on it though. Dragged a work bench over it and no issues. Held up fine. I've thrown a arms on it, dropped jack stands, dragged other stuff across it with no issues.

the humidity down here would ruin that I'd bet. Between that and all the rain we get here, I'd imagine that wouldn't last long.

Sounds like a typical response. Just like every body shop or car painter dislikes everyone else's work, but oh well, must be hard being perfect! :shocking: The people who bought my old house loved the floor and that's what counts.
