The earliest known metric impact sets carry the =V= series stamp along with the oval "IMPACT" stamp just like in the very first post in this thread.

In 1966 the catalog only shows 3 types of impact sockets, none of which are metric. Someone here said that they recall buying a metric =V= series impact set in the very late 1960s. Heck, I'd take a regular 2 ton SJ-18. Some of you fellas have several of them and I've yet to trip over one.

The SJ-18 jacks are 2 ton. I never knew that they made this design in what appears to be a 4 ton configuration.

Walnut shells will work on metal of this gauge. The key is the post blasting clean up. A solvent based cleaner followed by a good rinse and dry will be required.
