Belts for an angle grinder tube and pipe polisher attachment

Know someone who I can borrow from but doesn’t have any belts Which 1.5”x30 belts would be best for cleaning a rusted drill press column, as well as another drill that’s not as bad. Saw scotch-brite as well as normal grinding belts but not sure what’s best. Can you apply evaporust before the...

    Watchmaker screwdrivers

Bought and returning a $10 set from Amazon that didn't impress me. Is there anything nice between the China garbage and Bergeon? Something nice, not super expensive. Thanks, Rich

SOLD-GM AC Diagnostic Tune Up Center

Has the emission unit. Untested. Doesn’t have a 2 cylinder setting or would try on the lawn tractor. Besides age and dirt only thing I noticed damaged is the 2A fuse holder for the OHM tester. Only has what’s shown

    Waffle iron problem

I stopped using an Intedge waffle iron since it was tripping the CGFI breaker (don't think it was tripping the panel breaker). My memory was it would heat, the light would go off until time to cycle back on and when it went back on was when the breaker tripped. Decided to try again. The only...

    ECi power supply question

The outlet itself is 122.8 (20" below the subpanel in the basement). I had to take off the dinette chair. Yellow to yellow 15.45 I've never used a power supply for anything other than DC for which this unit seems fine, but not knowing why the AC side isn't right will bother me. Plus I didn't...

    ECi power supply question

Dragged home and never tried. The DC side reads very close to my meter. Maybe .1 volt difference. However the A/C side looks like it should be 6.3v (at least that's what the label says) but either side I get 7.5 or 7.6v Am I doing something wrong or is there something wrong with it? Both of...

Metl-Former vise - how to get handle off

Gave up. Going to paint around. I was concerned if I pushed off wouldn't go back on and I'd end up drilling for a pin. Got so many things to fix that risking breaking this one more didn't make much sense.

    Porto Power press retraction question

Piston never moved so I was tried and was able to push it by hand in. Took way more force than I expected. There's nothing leaking so not sure I have a connection problem. Cleaned more and the cylinder is an R159 so since I know what I have might order rebuild kits for both, though usually do...

    Porto Power press retraction question

RTM, Thanks. Spring internal to the ram. Hadn't considered that. Maybe it's slow and will leave overnight. I'd like to find the model number to order the right rebuild kit. Searched online and here's a nicer pic of what it looks like together. Doesn't replace the 25 ton Dake in the garage...

    Porto Power press retraction question

Only have a pic laying on the ground moving and in a bucket. The knob seems stiff but the cylinder does extend when pumped. Vertical in a standard hydraulic press configuration is there anything to make it retract? Should it retract on its own? Considering the age is it due for a rebuild kit...

    Old cup dolly rehab

Thanks! I've also got a bucket of evaporust around.

    Old cup dolly rehab

I upgraded my pretty useless cup dollies to something better, but the old ones were small, cast iron, with steel wheels and maybe better for small things in limited space, but don't work well. The swivel bearings look corroded and I doubt there's any bearing material in the wheels. Would the...

Metl-Former vise - how to get handle off

I'm starting to think the shaft was made, indents were added which pushed up metal around and then the collar was press fitted.

Metl-Former vise - how to get handle off

Hi, Just looked and the two small rings are solid all the way around. They're not split rings. Rich

Metl-Former vise - how to get handle off

I want to remove the handle and screw from the moving end of a little Metl-Former vise. The impressions look like crimps but I don't see a pin in the larger part close to the casting. The outer part with the handle I didn't see any pins either Could be corroded and hidden Thanks, Rich

What brand is this little vise?

Thank you. Doesn't look missing any parts. I'll toss in the basement to clean up someday.

What brand is this little vise?

And what parts am I missing? Only says Made in USA. The tag was probably above it. Thanks, Rich

Fein hose to vac adapter needed

Is there an adapter to go from the old Fein vac hose where there was a button on the vac (top) to the newer twist ones with a lug (bottom)? Either something commercial or a 3d print file would work. Thanks, Rich
