    Above 1200 Sq/FT It's done: 36x40x16

Nice build and nice looking lot. Rarely is a shop ever big enough, we tend to fill whatever space we have. Enjoy the new space.

    Weight Distribution: Flooring needed?

You could add a post or a couple of 2x4's to the existing post under the joist ledger to support at least 1 1/2". Or run another ledger post to post under all the joists. I think the OSB has a live load of 175 PSF for 23/32", you should be fine. As long as the rack doesn't have 4 legs that...

New roof placed, would this bother anyone else?

That happens a lot same color just different batches and the shade will vary. It will not fade out over time. A good roofer would pull shingles a few at at time from many bundles to lessen that effect. The problem is that slows down production. I might be able to live with the right side, but...

    Exterior walls design

I don't see the economy here with the materials being used. Both sides being metal, plus a wire mesh to hold cement, plus cement on both sides. The R value for the polystyrene is approximately 3.6 per inch so a 20cm wall would have an R value of 28. Then you are doing a double plaster interior...

    Tipping crafts people?

If you hire a trades person to come and do a job, that you received a quote for I would not expect to tip them. If though they went above what was required, example stayed 2 hours later to do something not quoted for then sure. If I was going to have those same people come back for more work...

    What Hammer?

I would go with a 16oz straight claw hammer, it will do most everything in the small to medium task.

Source for purchasing Shed plans with FL Engineering Stamp of Approval

Just to clarify the no permit needed for 3'x5' or 15 square feet ? That is pretty small, most county codes allow 100-200 square feet with no permit. Though I get it being Florida you don't want a bunch of small sheds flying around in a hurricane.

Vapor barrier needed? So many conflicting answers- Climate zone 7. Rockwool insulation.

Using the IECC, International Energy Conservation Code, which covers heating and cooling in the USA there are only 8 zones. You may be looking at planting zones which goes to 10, slightly different things. You have an older house? Sounds like a 15# felt paper used as a water retarder. Zone 7...

Garage Wall Framing Question - 2x4 vs. 2x6 Sill Plate

Not to keep beating a dead horse, But... added cost for 2x6 Vs 2x4 at 10 foot stud is $4 in my area so you are adding about $350. Then again insulation is more so it all adds up. Plus one for the epoxy bolts that would be better choice. Good luck on the build.

    Lifting 1 Car Garage....Foundation Options??

For the amount of work involved to lift and build a footing, I'm in the tear down and rebuild. You could save any good material like the 5 newer 2x4's.

    Sell or Keep Properties?

Some people are fine as landlords and see the pain now as a payoff in the future. If you sell both and are rent free (about) for the next year you could invest some of that money into stock market as things are on sale now. The market is not for everyone. You could invest into a retirement...

How much land do you need to not have "visible" neighbors?

Even the largest lot will still have a common fence/ lot line with a neighbor, at least for most of the property. Father in law has over 2000 acres of farm land in North Dakota. You pass a few houses on the main gravel road from town 10 miles away. Once on the place you can't see anybody's...

    sidewinder vs worm drive

I have had a Skil for 35 years, whenever I use a sidewinder it feels dangerous mainly just not used to using it. I would stick with what you know at this point, you aren't going to really gain speed or efficiency at this point on one building.

How to make a sliding screen door squirrel proof?

You could put a piece of acrylic (plexi) glass on the bottom 2 feet make it harder to get on. Problem is they can jump up like 4 feet. Get a dog. Get a .22 or high powered pellet gun.

    Electric work on other's Properties

I'm not sure on NY, for some states the home owner can act as the GC pull a permit , perform the work and have it inspected. So if your customers did that but you did the work. The problem at least to me is liability. If you F something up I have no real legal way to go after your license...

Any chance of building a 44x60x16 garage for $70,000 with a lot of DIY?

That is similar to the RV part of mine 36'x56'x16', two doors 12'x14' and 4' spaces. Then the man door is on the "D" side 3' off front wall. So I have a truck camper overall length 18' unloaded a 1 ton dually (about 23' long) longbed on the C side with 11 ' behind camper. Then three smaller...

    Conduit size /wire fill?

I am looking for what size conduit I need, I am doing some landscaping and need to bury a conduit for future use. I have a submersible 2.5 or 3hp ( can't remember) well pump about 350' from panel. Right now it is powered by I think (4 gauge) aluminum, only 2 wires. The pump guy suggested 4 wire...
