Anyone Install a Fan in Their Garage?

My building is divided by a wall into garage area and woodshop area. Each area has a mini-split and a wall-mounted oscillating fan. Pick a winner- Delta table saw choice

I'm on my third, and last, Unisaw. Each time I have moved there always seemed to be someone waiting to buy my saw so I didn't have to disassemble, ship, store it. Of course the current model is not the same as my original, but I've never felt any shortcomings in any of them.

Above 1200 Sq/FT My new dream shop

It's not about clogging a line. It's about pulling enough CFM to draw in the finest dust particles, the stuff you can't see, that cause health issues. ( I guess you didn't have time to read any of the link I posted).

Why 4" PVC pipe under slab for DC ? I've built two shops of my own and two for customers with PVC DC lines buried, all 6". The more you can stay 6" the better. Some solid research : http://billpentz.com/woodworking/cyclone/index.php

Woodworking / Carpentry Tools for Non Wood Workers

Sounds like you're not really talking about "woodworking", but more about home maintenance work. Buy some basic tools and purchase others as needed. (and I would not recommend a pull saw to a novice)

AAH, when things were built with the intention to be repairable. I'm glad I got out of the camera repair industry just as things were being manufactured in plastic and disposable.

    help/thoughts on shower/install

Good points. Make sure you have a stud at each vertical edge of the unit to fasten the shower and drywall to. I always mix some thinset to set the base into to avoid movement and eventual cracking.

Puget Dude’s creations and fabrications (Random project thread.)

I'd back-charge them for all your work and clean-up time. I had to do that with the FIRST concrete contractor here building my retaining wall. Charged him for my labor to re-tie his steel. Charged him more than double what he felt I deserved.
