Air Tank Hydrotesting with Grease Gun?

WOW! All I wanted to know was about the grease removal from the tank after using it for testing an air tank. Some how this got into a shoot out about air verses water testing. For those that stuck with my original question, thanks for the advice.

Air Tank Hydrotesting with Grease Gun?

I've seen video's of doing both, grease and water from a grease gun. I question whether the grease gun filled with water would work without leaking. My guns left hanging the shelf with grease will leak after they get warm in the Summer. So I doubt that filling a new gun with water would work...

Air Tank Hydrotesting with Grease Gun?

Thanks, I've seen a few videos of guys doing both water and Grease for the pressure test. One guy was really pumping the grease into the tank. I wondered where all that grease was going. There is another way with and water pressure sprayer. I'm just trying to make the connections from the...

Air Tank Hydrotesting with Grease Gun?

I've seen where a grease gun was used to pressure test an air tank after it was filled with water. Looks like it would work, but here is my question. What happens to the grease that was pumped in? I assuming that the grease will sink to the bottom of the tank. Now that is the same place where...

    Capacitors for electric motors?

You would have thought that this was a simple solution. I have a 5hp motor on a compressor with the capacitors missing (two). One is a start and one is a run. Since they are missing, how do I know where to locate each left side or right side with the shaft facing the other way. I don't want...

    Epoxy or wedge anchors ?

I installed 5 wej-it PD58's and they worked perfectly. Then I went to the other post installed 5 more and they would not grab. So now I'm going to move the post and install the 5 new pd58's but I'm going to apply epoxy before inserting the anchor bolts. The PD58's are sealed from the outside...

    Concrete Anchor bolts, now what?

No, these expand once you have them pounded in and then you use a nut, washer and bolt to pulll it back up from the 5/8 " that you pounded them down to.

    Concrete Anchor bolts, now what?

I agree with this so far. It looks like the only way. I am going to use more PD58 wej-it anchors. They don't have any slots where the epoxy can get into the threads. If the epoxy holds as tight as they say it will this should work out.

    Concrete Anchor bolts, now what?

    Concrete Anchor bolts, now what?

I have five concrete PD58 wej-it anchor bolts in the concrete that will not seat below the concrete surface or near the top. They will tighten up but not until they are out of the concrete by maybe 1/2 inch. These are for a two pole car hoist lift. I wanted to epoxy them in to stop the...

    Anchor Bolts what to do?

I was able to remove the bolts from the post and move it. The anchors are all loose. There is no way they are going to back out like I thought. After they are above the concrete surface maybe 1/2 inch they stop moving and that's that. So I tapped them down a little further below the initial...

    Anchor Bolts what to do?

I have five PD58 anchor bolts in the concrete now. They are for a two pole car lift. One of the poles went in flawlessly with anchors seating as suppose to. I did the same to the other post but when I tapped in the anchors and tried to back them out to seat them, they spin in the hole. I...

    Maxjax not so smooth

I've got three questions to throw out there. 1) I would like to move one post further away than what it is at now. I may have screwed up the installation of the anchor bolts on this post. Any ideas on how far away the new set of five holes should be? I've got it drilled at 120" and I'm thinking...
