20 Amp Circuit with 15 Amp Light Switches

I don't see how a 3 amp bulb could fail in such a way that it would draw more current than the wiring can handle. If the goal of the breaker is to protect the wiring from overheating and burning down your house, putting a 20A load on a 15A light switch on a 20A circuit doesn't sound safe to me.

20 Amp Circuit with 15 Amp Light Switches

I like the logic of sizing a switch for the load, but should the breaker not be the weakest link in the chain?

Yeh, it seems good. Doesn't cut up the shield and the strip lengths are spot on every time.

    Looking for quality RG6 stripper

So I picked up one of these when it caught my attention at the Home Depot http://www.kleintools.com/catalog/strippers/coax-cable-stripper-2-level-radial Seems to work well. I previously had one of these http://www.kleintools.com/catalog/strippers/katapult-coaxial-cable-stripper from...

    Looking for quality RG6 stripper

Like the title says, I need a decent quality RG6 stripper. Not the flimsy ones you get with a pack of compression fittings. Any suggestions? Thanks.

    PATC units for a garage

These things aren't all that different from a typical window A/C, are they? Why would they be so much more troublesome?

    eu plug ?

So the device requires 240v on the Line, a neutral and a ground. On this side of the pond, we get our 240v from the two hot wires. There may or may not be a neutral if the device has 120v needs. Are you saying that his neutral should simply be connected to the other hot?

    eu plug ?

I'm confused. There's one Line conductor and it's 240v. Does that one Line carry 240V? Don't we get 240V by using two Line conductors here?

Flyer is working OK for me on IE. http://www.princessauto.com/en/current-flyer Both versions of the flyer work, but I usually prefer the PDF download. They do however need to put a delay in the mouseover on the "shop" menu. Bit annoying moving from the address bar down to the page, hovering...

    Window AC compressor question

Hmm.. upon further investigation, it appears that the compressor in my old Danby unit is a rotary compressor already http://www.samsungparts.com/Products/Parts_and_Accessories/PID-44B135HXAEL.aspx I didn't think a rotary would be so buzzy.

    Window AC compressor question

It's only about 7 or 8 years old with a few months use in the summer. It's no louder now than when it was new. I mount it on thick pads to dampen the vibration. It's a steel chassis, but the rubber isolators under the compressor seem fine. It's the buzzing and the hard-start of the...

    Window AC compressor question

I'm looking at replacing my Danby window A/C. It's a big one, 13,800 BTU/Hr but it's noisy. And since I'm in an apartment I'm feeling a little guilty at annoying the neighbour. I see that LG makes a 12,000 unit that uses a rotary compressor. I'm sure my Danby uses a reciprocating type...
