    Make of Craftsman dial caliper

If it's like others I've had apart, there's a gib that held in place by the point of one of the set screws.

    Make of Craftsman dial caliper

My favorite set of calipers is an inch/metric dual from harbor freight from probably 25 years ago. I've moved that set to my desk and bought others for the shop. I just tossed an anytime tools one because something got stuck in the teeth of the pinion gear. After cleaning it best I could buy...

Need a dial indicator with Mag base--flexible arm style

Not having that adjustment is the only thing I dislike about most of the noga knockoffs. It's hard to get the indicator exactly where it needs to be and then lock it without moving it. Not a big deal on the lathe but it can be a pain in other cases. I've not spent the money for a real noga, but...

Can you identify this precision machine tool?

Likely used on a milling machine or similar

    Get a hook into it!

Yeah doesn't have a base. But it could have a long handle! Or maybe a rope!

    Get a hook into it!

That looks to have multiple "uses"! I bought one of these after seeing Pepe's towing using it. Pretty handy and small when retracted.

    Experience with equipment skates?

I would generally not advise using 2x4 on edge for cribbing anyway. Some say you shouldn't use construction lumber at all. But to get over 4.125", stacking three 2x4 flat gets you 4.5" and let's you add cribbing as you go so the heavy thing has less distance to fall if the lifting thing fails.

    Bad Tool Marketing Photos

I wouldn't use pliers to install them, but to remove them, that's how I would do it.

M10 SAE Flare Line Nut for Unloader valve needed (solved)

Looks like a 5mm tube, but I only find down to 6mm, which is M12. I guess if I was going to look for one, I would look in the chuck on my lathe.

    Experience with equipment skates?

Pretty sure the ones Tom Lipton used were cheap ones from Amazon. I'm not sure that any of those really can be a bad choice. They are basically deep groove ball bearings on a frame or something equivalent to pallet jack wheels. Either way, not much to them.

Hi, im new and i wanna ask some advice.

Welcome! My advice is to find somebody to mentor you, maybe at the auto shop you worked at. Are there mechanic schools there? We have a software engineering team in Romania, but I don't know exactly where. It looks like a wonderful place with a lot of history!

Hex bit shank conversion from straight shank to retained

Second that! Insert one of the factory ones and see how far it goes in. You'll need to turn down the round section to 1/4" or make it a 1/4" hex for that length.

Air Consumption of A/C System Flush Canister

It doesn't "consume" any. You use a tire chuck to pressurize it, then use the blow gun to release the pressure and liquid into the system

    Dewalt flex volt 60

I'm confused. The battery charged fine after jumping it? Or it still won't charge? What's the other charger you tried? They're not all the same.
