What is your Pet Peeve about your Tools?

The mindset that tools is what makes a mechanic. It's a way of problem solving, tools and working environment. And lots of experience. I have friends who buy a mini toolbox and call or text me day and night on how to solve their issues. They cant understand it takes more than a starter set of...

    German made tools

Stahlwille for me please.. The rachets dont seem to me to be the best german made ones. But everything else i have from them seem superior for my usage. The sockets and i beam wrenches are light yet very very strong.. Before i noticed tool brands and became a tool fanboy, i always grabbed the...

Made a great deal on german tools

Mine doesn't even have drawers.. Later versions maybe did? I dont know if the founder's brother patented drawers in that cart design, as the Gedore cart came before it and is virtually identical.. Except for drawers maybe? So yes. It is not very handy. I still like it though. If for nothing...

Any auto repair shop owners here?

I've run my own shop until recently. Fixing cars and running a business is 2 different things, although one can't do without the other. Things go wrong. Parts don't show up. Customers refuse to pay, or try to avoid it. The customer will almost always try to get it as cheap as possible. Be...

Anyone Here Ever Hire an Architect/Engineer/Designer Through Elance?

I've been using Elance alot the last 3-4 years. My advice would be to know what you are looking for, and dont go for the cheapest route. On Elance, you often do get what you pay for. If you hire a company, make sure you have direct contact (skype) to the guy who is actualy doing the...
