Help w/info about this hex tool

Yes thanks Jake - just did a search and found the Indestro 3/8 hex drive socket sets. It resembles that. http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/201821871410?lpid=82&chn=ps&ul_noapp=true I think we've got it solved. Now I just need to find a set that's missing its breaker bar. Mike

Help w/info about this hex tool

Hi Folks: I have had this for quite awhile and want to find out more about it and I would appreciate any comments. The tool is steel, formed like an allen wrench and has a 3/8" hex like shape. There is one barely visible stamp that says Pat. Dec. 1918. Both ends of the tool look like they...

FastCap Remote Vacuum Control - Experience?

Hi Folks: I am considering buying a FastCap Remote Vacuum Control that can allow you to mount a large canister vacuum in a remote location in your garage and use a remote control switch to turn it on and off. Can anyone offer comments or review of their experience? Here is a link to the web...

Who has a good way to store large cables?

Follow up to my earlier comment. If you use the totes which have a protruding lip around the top you can create a grid system that you attach to your garage ceiling and store those items you don't need often. Here is a link to an example of how you can do this http://bit.ly/1GuxnMY

Who has a good way to store large cables?

Another possibility is to use storage totes. They stack nicely and if you get clear you can see what's inside. Here's a link to Amazon http://amzn.to/1CKfAGJ

Hi Folks: Just wanted to start a thread acknowledging what I found to be an excellent repair shop and thought others may want to share info about shops they have found. Best Battery Co. is on the East side of Baltimore, MD. They supply batteries throughout the region. They also have a shop...

    Best mechanic gloves?

I bought a pair of those at Advance Auto. Worked real well for fine work. Good grip and does moderately keep hands warm in a cold garage. I found the rubber coating doesn't hold up long however, will look for these in larger quantities for a good price.

    Removing a decal

How about submersing the globe in boiling water, maybe the decal or its adhesive is water soluble. I remember seeing similar decals that because of years of exposure began to crack and peel. Maybe freezing it to make it brittle and take an E-xacto or razor blade to it while after removing...
