    Rolling Mechanic/Garage Chair?

I was going to make my own version of this for a mechanics stool. Might add some form of a stackable spacer with a cushion.

    Tight space surface rust removal

If you can find a suitable container, citric acid powder method would probably be cheapest. Industrial or agricultural graded powder is quite a bit cheaper.

    Removing broken screws in mahogany

Since it’s soft material, it may be possible to drill out the broken shank and as you mentioned, fit and glue in a piece of hardwood dowel. Pre drill the holes for the new steel screws and maybe lube the screws with some soap or wax before reinstalling them.

Building my welding table and a few projects along the way

Nice work! Paoson woodworking has a video on HT on modifying those casters to raise and lower them from the top of the workbench that looks interesting.

Anyone done a DIY wheel alignment?

I’ve done it on my 1986 El Camino using a stick type guage I made going from the back side of the tread to the side. I used a universal protector that happened to sit flat on the rim centres. The tricky part for me was after making adjustments rolling the car forward and back to take any side...

Can I use these palm sanders for auto body/paint work, and to strip interior paint?

For just a hood, probably paint stripper would be the best way to go. What you would spend on sandpaper, you can pay for the stripper. I would remove it, put it on sawhorses. Apply a generous coat of stripper, put a plastic drop cloth over it to stop the stripper from evaporating, and leave...

Building the You Tube compressor intake silencer--read before you build!

Nice work. You might find that putting some type of dynamat ish stick on sound barrier on the tank mig also help if you imagine the tank is sort of like a bell. I think some guys have found a foil backed roofing tar based membrane works pretty well.

Black & Decker Metal Shear Blades Lubrication

I don’t think you need to lube the actual shear teeth but probably the moving part mechanisms needs grease. I have a much older version and that part is greased. Oh and if you paid ten dollars that earns a you **** award!

    Metal shrinking wheel

I think you need 6000 Rpm, on the waffled style disc. Some guys use a wet rag, or a spray bottle or a blast of air to cool down the base metal.

    Metal shrinking wheel

If you haven’t seen this, it’s a good outline of what a shrinking disc can do, but it won’t work miracles without some hammer and dolly work to go with it.

I think a soft start on the power tool also would be beneficial, especially if circuit breakers are tripping.

Below 265 SQ/FT Just Puttering About in my Basement Workshop

Good call replacing the flex fuel lines. One time I visited a Ferrari dismantler in phoenix. They had a few dozen 308s and a few other mid engine ones of similar vintage to yours. Nearly every one had been relegated there because of engine fires!

    Is this a stupid idea.

So, it was caused by vacuum right? Presuming there is a large air gap between the inner and outer skins. Is it possible to introduce a Vacuum between the two skins to pull it back in? Here is a method used to bend wing skins using a shop vacuum. It doesn’t take a lot of vacuum due to the large...
