Since you're running water in there's likely to be a requirement for some kind of a waste water system. You can usually put a spigot on the outside without needing a drain but once it's inside the water needs to go somewhere and options for that somewhere are often regulated.

What you're talking about doing isn't really remote access. You just want to be able to access the recordings from the network and most systems have that capability. You just need a wireless access point on your network.
