AGC glass fuse to blade fuse converter

That's interesting but I don't know what problem it solves.

Cutaway Drawings / Models and Exploded Diagrams

That's cool. I came close to buying a nicely done, cutaway three speed GM transmission at a swap meet that was supposedly done by GM for one of the Motoramas in the '50s. At the time I was a bit tight on both cash and places to display such a thing. I still kind of regret passing on that.

    ARB bumper repair

It's hard to tell from pictures but it looks like you could get that 90% by tweaking it with a big adjustable wrench.

What do you guys recommend for feeler gauges?

There's no factory engine from an '89 F-350 that has adjustable valves.

    Locking extensions

I've been turning wrenches for 40 years and I've never had a problem that I thought would be solved by a locking extension.

    DIY Epoxy Floor Concerns

If you're going to be working in that garage I recommend against flakes. I had them in my last shop floor and I loved the way they looked but anything I dropped just disappeared.

    The modern/digital fabrication thread

I'm enjoying this thread. I've been watching 3d Scanners. The ease of use is a little to low and/or the price is a little to high for it to be worth it for me to take the plunge but at the rate things are going they'll converge in my happy spot in about five years.

'vintage' push button ignition wiring help needed..

A typical GM starter solenoid can have up to a 30 Amp inrush current and draws 8 to 10 amps while engaged.

'vintage' push button ignition wiring help needed..

It's unlikely that the switch can handle the current needed for the starter circuit. You'll need a relay to feed the push button that's energized when the key is turned on.

    Replacing load bearing wall

As others have indicated there's not enough information given to really make a call on that. There's nothing in the picture that indicates that wall is load bearing. You need to consider what loads are being transferred from above. If there's a wall or roof structure that's loading that wall...

Anyone ever do glow in the dark flakes?

My question would be "do the shop lights emit enough light on the appropriate wave length to charge the flakes?" I'm guessing that most don't.

    Oil can oil?

My oil cans have specific uses so they have specific oils in them. Spindle oil for oiling the appropriate spots on the lathe and milling machine, engine assembly lube for engine assembly and gear oil for manual transmission assembly.

    Above 1200 Sq/FT Restored 1930's Auto Shop

Congratulations on your anniversary. My wife and I just celebrated out 31st yesterday. I really wanted to make it to your open house but that darn working for a living thing once again interfered with what I'd really like to be doing. Sometimes it ***** to be a responsible adult.

    Aluminum Jacks

I have one of these 1.5 Ton American Forge Jack in my race trailer. I bought it because it's low enough to fit under the race cars but I've used it to jack an end of an axle on the trailer to change a flat tire. I've been happy with it and I bought this one to replace the exact same one that had...
