    Double Entry Doors

Great, glad you found a close to what you were looking for. Just proves it never hurts to ask and you had someone there with knowledge. I was going to mention interior fire doors, center filled with gypsum might work, not sure if they would have condensation issue.

    Shadow Boards

I worked for a major window manufacturer a few years back as a maintenance carpenter, built many shadow boards for their work stations. Used plywood, boards, metal, Lexan, plyron, PVC, and various screws, nails, whatever would work to hold tools, gauges, whatever was needed at each station. I...

Route a slot in the length of PVC pipe

+1 Start slow as the PVC may shatter if you push it through to fast.

    Table Saw

You could also drop a bench top into a cut out of a sheet of plywood, build a bracket to hold the saw level with the plywood. Add two by fours to perimeter and a few cross braces for stiffness, the added surface will let you focus on the cut versus fighting to keep the sheet on the saw. Add some...

    Table Saw

You would be surprised the drop off from your saw to a contractor saw or a down sized cabinet saw. I have a pair of Craftsman Contractor 10" table saws along with two Delta bench top saws. I put a linked belt on the Craftsman saws, removed the belt memory issue, well worth the money IMO. I use...

    reside garage ??

Masonite and vinyl are both temporary siding IMO. T111, rough sawn siding might be an option, overlap the Celotex board to create a stronger wall.

    Truss question - new idea

I would place two by fours inside the plywood and try to keep as much of the truss in place as you can. Triangles are strong, keep that in mind when modifying the truss.

    Cupola framing

appears to be a two story gable with shed roofs front and back. I don't believe it has open floor space on the ground level.

How many Yards of rock do I need?

Length X Width X Depth X .0031 Length in feet X Width in feet X Depth in inches X .0031 = Yards of product. I use this to figure concrete slabs, footers, walls, etc. Works well for me, just remember to get the measurements right and depth in inches right.

    Vinyl siding vertical edge question

If you would like to use starter strip on both heights, you could use a piece of coil stock 6" wide to create your desired height on the shorter run. Attach it to your structure with starter strip screwed to it, adjusted to your desired height. It will give you the desired look rather than J...

    How much space under cabinets?

If you use legs make sure your cabinets are built to with stand being supported on the corners. If they are not you may have some sagging cabinets. You might try using some solid vinyl decking boards and build a frame to set your cabinets on, they would keep your cabinets off the floor and be...

What has OldCarGuy come up this time?

Used "Booth Coat" at work also, only way to keep booth in new condition for years. We also cover metal floor with paper covering intended for floors in paint settings. Held it in place with round magnets, worked well IMO.

    paint booth

I don't know if it was mentioned but we use "Booth Coat" to cover the interior of the galvanized metal booth. Spray on clear coat that covers the interior of the booth, glass covered florescent lights, door, door window, everything except filters. Put down military grade paper for floor...

Screwdriver Show - Recommendations on tests

Bahco, just bought the ratcheting one this week along with a Wera Komfort Kompact, both really nice screwdrivers. The main reason I bought them was the accolades they received in the old world tools thread. I have a couple Snap-ons, Wiha, Craftsman, Stanley, Picque, and many other 4 ways...
