    4-post Lift

Thinking you may want to double check and confirm a Suburban/Tahoe will fit width wise on an HD-9ST. If I recall correctly that is the narrow version of the HD-9 and you may have an issue with a large SUV such as mentioned above in your post.

    RaceDeck Transition Issue

Thanks Jamie, thinking I'll do as you did in your picture. I have a rubber threshold affixed to the floor which is set so the door closes directly on top of it to provide a very nice weather/waterproof seal. I'll run my edging tiles just shy of the inside edge of the overhead door as I think...

    RaceDeck Transition Issue

Any chance you can post couple of pictures to show us how it came out as getting ready to lay my tile and want to make sure I understand what you did.

    Opinions wanted on Racedeck Design

Thinking to give RaceDeck a call to find out exactly why laying down 1/2 floor and moving contents from one side to the other as working through install is a big no no. Moving entire contents outside garage not an option for me right now. Good luck on install and get some pictures posted so we...

    Opinions wanted on Racedeck Design

Just wondering...... You planning on moving your stuff to one side of the garage and laying down the fabric and Racedeck then moving stuff to the other side and completing the install? I was hoping to do the same as very difficult for me to empty entire garage to install entire floor at one...

Porcelain floor, I finally did it

Looks fantastic, job well done Gerry! I picked up 825 sq ft of Race Deck 3-4 years ago and they still sit in the corner of my garage in their original boxes. After I got them I saw a few threads from guys who installed porcelain tiles and began to think I should go that way. Haven't done it yet...

    Advice on first shop

If planning on a lift in the future I would go with 12' walls at a minimum.

    Pulling Romex-Pole Barn

The siding is nailed to the purlins (2x4's) which are nailed to the 6x6 posts. Commonly used on pole barns.

    Pulling Romex-Pole Barn

Ran line around back of post and used a metal plate to avoid any potential nails coming through the siding. Thinking that was the best solution for the situation.

    Pulling Romex-Pole Barn

Running 12gauge for outlets in Pole Barn. Looking for advice on best way to handle getting past this corner 6x6 support as adding outlets to walls on both sides of corner. Doesn't seem like a good idea to run behind on outside of 6x6. Is it acceptable to bore hole in 6x6 and pull through?

    Bendpak HD-9 or HD-9ST

Not the best but a picture of the space to give an idea of the available room.

    Bendpak HD-9 or HD-9ST

Trying to decide which way to go. Wondering if anyone who purchased an HD-9ST has regrets they didn't get the wider model. Currently looking to keep a Porsche 911 on the lift during winter months but will also be using it to service various vehicles such as older Toyota and other small pickups...

Liftmaster 3800 won't close after new bottom seal

Oh yeah, installed 2 of them 4 years ago and no regrets. Just takes a bit of fiddling around when it comes to the adjustments. Would never go back to the traditional openers as the wall mounted jack shaft is smooth and quiet.

Liftmaster 3800 won't close after new bottom seal

Thanks for the advice on resetting the lowering limit and tension. New tsunami seal installed and works like a charm. Took a bit of playing around but the end results are a nicely operating doors that stay down and keep the water out!

Liftmaster 3800 won't close after new bottom seal

Morning all, Replaced the rubber seal on the bottom of my wooden garage door and now the door won't close. The new seal is much thicker so I assume an adjustment to the 3800 Liftmaster is needed. After activating the wall mounted control in an attempt to close the door, the door proceeds to...

    Quietest A/C Condensing Unit

Thanks for the heads-up on the Ruud Chris. Some good comments that lead me to believe a lot of improvements have been made since the original system was installed in early 2000. I was never impressed with this Frigidaire unit. Most likely a bottom line unit, my fault as I didn't really know...

    Quietest A/C Condensing Unit

Taking a look at the specs listed on the Carrier & Lennox sites to get as much info as possible. Specs tell one story but personal experience sometimes tells another story. I suspect just like with most things, big part of how noisy and efficient comes down to how well the installation was...

    Quietest A/C Condensing Unit

Need some advice from you A/C guys out there. Looking to replace the older Frigidair central a/c system in my 1600 sq ft house. The air handler is positioned horizontally in the crawl space and the condensing unit is obviously on the exterior. Main problem is my neighbors bedroom window is...
