I'm not a Snap-on memorabilia expert, but in all likelihood they are not all metal, since they'd be too heavy. Most common presentation logo mugs are just thickly chromed plastic with some weight added to the base for stability. So standard metal polishing techniques may actually destroy that...

I think that's the point -- sell all existing store inventory before they do a major restock for Father's day. Many of the stores in the DC area are already sold out of these specials
