Old Work Electric Single Gang Box for Thick Wall?

You could also pad out an area behind where the box is going to go, then fasten an old or new work box through the back into the blocking. A 2 x 4 on the flat and a 3 or 3 1/2" deep box will get you close to where you want to be. An additional 1/4 or 1/2" plywood shim could be added after the...

    Effluent Pump in the winter?

Put a 1/4” hole in the discharge pipe just before it leaves the pump chamber. The uphill pipe will self drain back to the chamber as soon as the pump stops.

Anyone using a compact, cordless bandsaw?

I've been using the battery band saws for years. Very handy tools. I have never used them, but they do make battery tools specifically for cutting threaded rod.

36X48 Garage Build - AKA "I Love Debt" is Underway!

No. None. That's my point. I wouldn't be working with someone I didn't trust.

36X48 Garage Build - AKA "I Love Debt" is Underway!

Why would someone contract with a builder that they don't fully trust?

    3-way switch problem

I realize there is no off position in a properly wired three way switch. I used the word "off" in quotes because that was the term the OP used.

Is this a playground slide and how to mount it?

The one I have is 30 years old and is still in really good shape and is now used by the grandkids. A little silicon spray will help speed up the ride to the bottom. :)

Is this a playground slide and how to mount it?

Looks just like the slide on an older Rainbow Play system.

Above 1200 Sq/FT My Retirement Shop, Pole Barns, Old Truck and Questionable Decisions Thread

Nice car. I spent a lot of time wrenching on a '63. Engine, transmission and trans axle all come out as unit from below. With the wheels off I would lower the car down resting the oil pan on to a wheeled cart. Pull the drums, remove four bolts on the carrier bearings, slide the axles out...

    Looking at subcompact/compact tractors.

Spend some time sitting in different models and series to get a feel for the size. I really liked the size of the JD 3 series. I think it's impossible to get one tractor that will be perfect for every task.

    Sparky labor rate

Quick estimate to change a panel only, 4 hours labor, $600, double that number to cover material, $1,200 total. Or, figure $600 to cover material, same number to cover labor, $1,200.00 Location and what material used will change the numbers but I've found if you know what one of the numbers...
