Thanks guys. The pine branch that fell on my roof is 8" diameter and I got three cuts in before nightfall on the 3.0s without incident. So far so good. I'll take it easy and slow until I can get a bigger battery. BTW...that Milwa chainsaw is sweeeeeeeeeet!

Sent email to WyomingKnife: Does Wyoming Saw 1 also take standard 12" hacksaw blades? Response: No. The holes on the those blades are too small for our saws. Also, I believe they are about and inch and 1/2 too long.

Yes, that would do it...thank you! Looks like I need to get an adjustable and maybe modify it a bit. I doubt it'll ever be "high tension" but it should be good enough to get the job done. (I suspect the high tension hacks don't disassemble.) Thanks also for the pic with the tape measure!

I found it, dimensions given as 10 x 13 inches. The length is good but the depth is an inch over for lying flat. Will try it upright. I like the looks of it. Uses standard 12" hack blades, you say? Hmm... says it takes 11-1/8" blades...I wonder if those are proprietary blades...

I need a decent quality, high tension 12" hacksaw that disassembles and fits into my new toolbox, a Milwaukee Compact Box, which has internal dimensions of 9x14". Many hacksaws available don't disassemble, and as far as I can tell, nobody makes a 12" hacksaw with an overall assembled dimension...
