I have an Eastwood 140 mig set up, I've added sheilding gas. I'm a DIYer and it works for me. The machine was under $300.00 and then I bought an HF cart and got a bottle and gas from a local supplier. I recommend the welder, unless you are welding anything over 3/16

Pulled the deck and put the plow on the XT2, Charnged the oil in the daily driver and cleaned all of the rock salt off of it.

Installed the bumper, receiver hitch, and tailgate on the Silverado. Tonight I'll put the mud flaps on and hang the spare tire. then off to replace the struts this weekend

Put the bed back on the Silverado, added the tail light and have them wired up. Went to put the bumper on and realized that it wont fit with the receiver hitch installed. Thats tonight project....

In prep to reinstall the bed on the Silverado, I removed the rear bumber (again) fixed the fuel filler, and put one running board on. I was goingt o put them both on then realized I was one bolt retainer short. Hopefully I can get one on my way home from work.

Scraped and painted the back half of the Silverado's frame. Intalled the receiver hitch, shocks, and exhaust.

I'm still learing to weld, but managed to weld in the last patch panel on my Silverado. One of the cross members under the bed was rusted. I cleaned and welded in a new piece of plate. It aint pretty, but it is strong (and no one will ever see it when the bed is on).

Re installed the interior and weather stripping in the back of the Silverado.

Do yourself a favor and put in a patch. Trying to weld and grind thin, rusty sheetmetal if going to be frustrating. Even if possible.

Completed the rocker panel and cab corner project on the Silverado. Thank God for chipguard! Also fixed the closet brackets the the PO hung without anchors, and built an inversion table.
