    Adding garage thread to signature

Quick question: I tried earlier to add my garage remodel thread to my signature line by copying the address and pasting it in the "insert link" box when prompted after choosing that option. It seemed to work but when I click on it in a new post I made it just says its not a valid web page yadda...

I used some 1/8" wall 2" dia tubing... cut it at 45 and tacked 2 together to make a corner. Split the whole thing in half so I could get 2 feet out of section I welded together. Traced out my template on each side of the original 45 cut/weld on the inside of the tubing and roughed it out with a...

Needed to make a stand for a Pexto brake I picked up after seeing how much cast iron legs go for on ebay/craigslist... Decided to make something like this Delta band saw stand but with the height I needed and with wheels... Picked up some angle iron and a small piece of tubing and got busy...

    Farmer's special

Worked on the stand for the Pexto brake today some... Got the feet shaped and welded on as well as the plate for an old machine tag I decided to attach. When I purchased the brake I noticed a sticker to the left of the PEXTO name casting but couldn't read it... Surprise! Makes me wonder...

    Farmer's special

The guy at the saw was the owner of the farm from the 30's - 90's. He's cutting wood for the boiler that was in the milk bottling building behind him (currently my shop). He passed away with all 10 fingers so he must have had a bit of luck in his cap with all the wood they cut on the farm over...

    Farmer's special

Its doing great... I'm burning mostly seasoned ash so it puts out the heat. We had a cold stretch in December where it was around 0-5F for a few weeks and it took longer to get it warm but once there it was golden. Lately its been 10-20F and it has had no issues. I'll be glad when spring gets...

    Farmer's special

Did some running today to pick up a welder on craigslist. I've been after a Lincoln 250 for awhile now but couldn't find a good one within 2 hours until this one popped up. Somebody stole the leads for scrap but it came with some extra goodies. Also got a 4" Wilton and a vintage parts cabinet...

    The repurposing thread

Yes, the clock will be right side up when done:beer: All you need is a drill for the distributor cap and you can go to town... If I was going to have it on a nice desk I would have out something on the bottom so the pencils don't mark up the desk... but the garage desk is pretty worn so it's no...

    The repurposing thread

Two in this shot.... Buick straight 8 valve cover desk lamp (done except for the clock) and a Ford 6 pencil holder I whipped up for my desk in the garage.

    Farmer's special

I picked up a finger brake: ... and a No 3 Greenerd arbor press: Neither one came with a stand so I have to fab some up... I stopped by the steel place the other day and got some material to get going. I based my design on this vintage Delta saw stand I found on craigslist: I spent...

    Farmer's special

I can't believe it's been a year since I updated! I finally finished college and got my life back after 2 years of being a full time student while working 60 hours a week... barf! I celebrated by doing what I wanted to do! First on the list was to start working on the garage again in late...

No info... must not have been very popular! The thing works great, sharp as all get out. I wish I could find a manual on it or something.

Getting a milling machine off a trailer...

I picked it up this last weekend in a uhaul trailer with the ramp on the back. Couldn't find anybody local to rent one of those hydraulic trailers so had to go with what I could get. Seller loaded it up with a forklift on my pallet. Stopped 1/2 way home and bought a used pallet ******** CL...
