post pics of your heated jacket --

DO you have to look "Pretty" while working? Do you have the mentality that it's not what you do, but how good you look doing it? Seriously, if the jacket functions well, give it a brake. Who cares what it looks like.

    Paslode sk312

Depends on how much you use it. I have a Bostich roofing nailer that blew seals that I hardly ever use. But the kit to fix it was $28. For me that made sense even if coil nails for it became hard to get. I've used it less than 10 times in 10 years. If you are using it every day and can get...

    Cutting screws

Thanks. I didn't know they were called oval head. So far I have been using appliance paint in a bottle that looks like "white out".

    Cutting screws

On a side note....does anyone have a source of 2" or bigger painted head outlet screws? We install granite back splash and the screws are too short to reach the box. These are for phone jack boxes. No outlet or switch inside to screw to. Thanks.

    Cutting screws

Exactly. That's why it's a problem. Decora plates have the screws at the top and bottom of the plate.

    Cutting screws

They look good. I can't tell if I can actually shear a screw to 1/8" with those. I'll have to look at them in the store.

    Cutting screws

Sometimes it does matter. Small tolerances between where the screw goes into the outlet and the tile behind, sometimes the threads if cut at a slight angle won't hold.

    Cutting screws

The threaded length sometimes is 1/8" when I cut them.

    Cutting screws

I have to cut wall plate screws down on most jobs to put in wall plate for switches against tile. I have to cut them down between 1/8" to 1/4" depending on the tile. (really short) I have been using a cheap pair of harbor freight wire strippers but it seems to shear them off at an angle. I...

Which Box store Cordless tools would you recommend?

I know I'll probably get flamed for this but I use the 12 volt Nextec Lithium from Craftsman. I have the impact, drill, right angle impact, air inflator, vacuum, multi-tool, LED Light, heated coat, and they work great for 99% of the jobs I work on (pickup work for remodeling). The guy I work...
