Add quick connect to air hammer

I’m not a heavy air hammer user but have been wanting to convert to quick connect for a while. Anyone have experience and feedback on how to pick a decent QC that will fit? My hammer is a Husky H4610.

Why my Garage door open/close by itself ?

I had this symptom but it turned out to be the neighbor. I cleared my codes and no more issues.

Shake & Break air hammer bit saved the day

Here’s mine prior to brazing, from March 3rd, 2012. And it uses a 1/2 to 3/8 adapter, not an extension.

Shake & Break air hammer bit saved the day

There was a thread here many years back (maybe 13?) on making one of these. It is the first thing I remover seeing here and thinking, I gotta build me one of those. You sacrifice an impact hammer bit, grinding the end to fit into a short 1/2” extension. Before brazing it together, add a hex...

    Finally! nut/bolt/electrical/small parts storage!!

NICE! I got mine from a Home Depot that was moving. $800 for all of the bins ($50 per vertical stack). I was so excited about it and then they told me that included the hardware. The upper bins were packed with maybe a thousand of the little bags of hardware; lowers had loose or boxed hardware.

    Show off your.... Carlyle Tools!!!

I found a guy selling the blue Taiwan ratchets on eBay and pulled the trigger on the R1290 and R1490. They were a pretty good deal and mostly complete my set. I had previously bought the locking flex 3/8 when it was on real deals then picked up the 1/4” long soon there after. The new ratchets...

    Lowes deals/sales/clearance

I think it is personal preference plus location and manager. I prefer HD but occasionally go to Lowe’s as they do have better outdoor furniture than my closest HD. I could be biased though as I havent been in very many Lowe’s, but have been to most of the HD concept stores (Fuel, Floor, EXPO...

What kind of tools have you found in the road??

Another road find today! This is typical of what I find though, cheap tools with either road rash or rust. Sometimes both. This one is no different except it had the added benefit of not working well. Taking what I have learned here, I popped the cover off and discovered it was a dry hole but...

Help me pick a jump pack

I have a NOCO and it’s great. That said, can you replace the bulbs with leds to reduce the power demands? And maybe someone can rebuild the alternator to provide more output without changing the look.…

    Renewing damaged or broken pliers

I’ve got a pair of damaged channel lock linesman pliers that I’ve been hanging onto for a few years thinking I’ll find a use for them. So far, just collecting dust; I don’t have the skills of @KnurledNut

Finished it up and it works great, though it does look strange to have a handle on a mailbox post…

Can I run rubber air compressor hose permanently through a crawl space?

Another vote for pex. I ran it in my shop a couple of years ago. No issues. I added a drip leg with drain fitting at both drops.

    Show off your.... Carlyle Tools!!!

My stubby 3/8 ratchet arrived and I got it this afternoon. While I was there, I tried to order a different one that is only in a distant DC but they wanted $20 for shipping and I thought that was too much. They now require a $150 min for free shipping and the ratchet I was going to order was...

    Pivoting mailbox build

if my masonry skills were even halfway decent, I would have built a brick enclosure for a double ended box. Several of my neighbors have them and I considered one.

What kind of tools have you found in the road??

Not as good a find as @MacMcMacmac blower, but it works and includes the battery. I guess this is going to cost me a few dollars for a charger….
