I've got a great set of solid old wooden stairs that I wouldn't mind hinging to the wall. I've been moving them around while rebuilding the wall, but now the wall is finished so time for a permanent spot.

Little more tension on the springs, some white paint on the walls and this will be done. I went into this with no hands on experience but feel kinda proud of accomplishing this, so much so I'm ready to tear down the next wall in, which is a support wall.

Has anyone made their stair runners fold over towards the wall to get the floor space back ?

I'm going to run 2 2x4's across the top of the wall, how do I attach the 2x6 ceiling joists to the doubled up 2x4s ?

Rookie mistake of making the door opening exact fit and square, the door doesn't want to go in arrgghhh !

On the garage door the size is 10 wide x 7 high, my plan is to make the opening 10x7, does the door fit inside the opening or on the back side of opening. Ive never seen a garage door in the raw per say without trim panels around it.
