My 3 ton low profile will stick occasionally, and need the piston pushed back up by hand. After releasing it by hand, it works fine -- I think I'm going to have to try taking mine apart and oiling/cleaning the piston assembly. Thanks for the helpful post!

Depending on CoO of your Kobalt, it *might* be rebranded Tekton anyway, if my suspicion is correct. I'm a big fan of the Taiwan Kobalt stuff, if if it's not Taiwan/USA I would definitely recommend Tekton for a good price point to value ratio.

I have a 52" Husky and I'm really pleased with it, I keep it stationary at home but there's plenty of room and IMO drawer design makes sense. Have you considered the option of a smaller HF box with a side locker/cabinet?

My best friend has a corded Dewalt 4.5" that's been great, I hear cordless ones aren't really worth the money though. I have the $30 HF one and it's been good to me, but I don't do long, sustained uses; typically if I'm cutting I'll move to the solvesall wherever possible.
