Lowes and HD here all have non TR receptacles. I wouldn't even think about using a TR if I needed a replacement.

I've used the Mityvac for years with no problem. Nothing complicated about it. It just works and much less frustrating than yelling to someone to push/release the brake pedal. Also no chance of damaging the master cylinder by pushing to far on the pedal.

I have used the Stop n Go with good results. Well made tool.

If you have the room, a cold chisel on one of the corners of the bolt and a hammer should get it loose. Hold the chisel so when you strike it, it will turn the bolt. Then a socket will take it the rest of the way out.

^^^^^^THIS^^^^^^ I've never had a problem using my Mityvac vacuum bleeder, including on ABS brakes. Fast and easy and you don't need any one to help.
