If I was starting over, I would either buy HF for cheap solution, or Gearwrench as more of a long term investment for a home shop Gearwrench does a good job at selling complete 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 inch drive sets.

Milwaukee Fuel has clearly made a big splash in the market with brushless motors. Makita and Dewalt also have brushless but you hardly hear about it. Makita also has new bigger batteries (4 AH) that are pretty much invisible in retail stores. Why doesn't Makita get more retail traction?

agreed plumbing stuff is never a normal wrench size, even if it was, you often wouldn't have room to swing a big wrench. I try to never use adjustables to turn fasteners, they are great for bending thin metal.
