I won't get into a debate, but you are going to need to strip that to bare metal again and then treat it with something like Metal Prep by Por 15. And then sand it off and go forward. You can sand off the rust, but it's almost always going to come back- you need to chemically kill it.

5 CFM is a fantasy for blasting at 100% duty cycle. It will be ok if you blast 40% of the time and then wait for the compressor to catch up. For small parts like caliper brackets, it'll just take 3 times as long.
