There's no need for any extra framing to hang the steel on if his trusses are 24" OC.

If you order the j-trim with frieze it doesn't matter what you put up first. Actually it doesn't matter either way. Here's how I did mine with all j-trim. If you check out the link in my signature, you'll see my ceiling is done but I haven't hung and on the walls yet.
