Can we send in worn SO sockets as well? I don't have access to a truck right now.

To kind of go along with this is what is the minimum compressor needed? I've always heard 20gal at least. 110v or 220? I'm thinking mostly home use, wouldn't most shops have shop air?

Pretty much same as above. Only real suprise I had was a 19mm Matco socket that I thought cracked pretty easy but got another. Mostly mangled screwdriver tips.

Thanks for the tips all. The 1/2 drive set on Ebay is what I was looking for, a Special Forces set would be even better (I like black tools) but I'll settle for chrome. I have all the ratchets that Matco sold at the time. Now if I can find a socket tray for this new set all will be...

Trying to troubleshoot it. Up till this year it has been fine. Changed the 3 filters on the rotor end when it kept puffing black smoke. It ran better for a few weeks and now it wants to puff again. I run a small exhaust fan while the heater is on but when it puffs I shut it off and let it clear...

Ratchet is Matco branded BLPF9. Socket is Armstrong 38-615 15mm bought at Grainger. I really like these, wouldn't mind having extra's. :beer:

The stop on mine is a ball detent like a ratchet has.

I do not know the origin of 5/8 drive tools. The original two sockets I had were Snap-On, they got "misplaced".

I know it is. The tool is an IR electric impact from the 50's I think. It runs like a champ and belonged to my Grandpa, otherwise I'd junk it. I heard a company called Ozat makes them still, thought I could find two sockets for not too much dough. Can't find em on FleaBay.

I think OTC sells extra legs, the tool looks identical except for drive size.

Any idea's? Specifically 3/4 and 13/16 size. Impact for lug nut's preferable. :)

Agreed. We did some hubs yesterday, one was very stubborn (I live in Nebraska) so we put the impact to it. About a minute of pounding before it came loose...............The other side fell apart practically. Well, it originally came with the striking hammer. Maybe not worth the cost/effort to...

Hi all! Great forum here. Looking for a striking hammer for this tool if it's not too pricey. The drive end is 7/8 hex. OTC 7394 is very similar but 1 1/8 in. KD tool is also very similar but they don't list the drive size, neither does NAPA. Any suggestions? This sucker is a beast...
