Not alot of tool presents to report but my girlfriend got me an 8 day vacation to italy 4 of which will be spent with one of my best friends growing up who moved to italy about 2 years ago.....she secretly planned it with him back in sept.....not exactly tools but im super pumped about it...

Harbor freight...black cart$ 99 or 6 ton jackstands for$ 24.99 will be my next two purchases.... And as far as home depot id check my local storeS for special in store close out specials and be patient...

Yeah just the fact that they were his and he pretty much got me started in my tool addiction is enough to make them invaluable to me....im actually gonna figure out a pegboard display for them and keep them as" emergency use only" since the wear and tear on them can't be replaced....

i recently inherited a bunch of hand tools from my grandfather and even though i will NEVER even think of selling them id like to gauge their value..... first is basically a complete set of Craftsman "v " ratchets,wrenches and sockets....1/4,3/8 and 1/2 sockets and what looks like a complete...

on the socket rails on toolkings site they only show red for mm and sae...did you specify blue or did they send those automatically???...just making sure mm and sae ARE different colors before i order...

i ve watched some crazy auctions on ebay before....had an item i was watching with a starting bid for more than i wanted to pay ,it ended with no bids so it got relisted for a lower starting price so the day before it ends i bid the minimum thinking ill steal it......NOPE, it ended going for...

i doubt it seriously but if you actually talk to the truck route guys you can sometimes get "somewhat" decent deals on NOS or returns/repo's....

i thin kon read on here somewhere that the price ended in $**.97 and anything ending in .97 meant it was a closeout.....

i use this style grinder for cutting granite and still have the original dewalt model i bought over 10 years ago and have burned up 2 different ryobis in the past year alone doing the same stuff......i have both model dewalts and even the smaller amperage model has enough *** to slice through...

my uncle HAD pvc in his shop til lit exploded ....nice slivers of pvc everywhere ,just lucky no one was in the shop when it blew.....he tried black iron afterwards but it was too balky and has since gone to brazed copper...the copper is much cleaner air compared to the black iron...

anybody on here happen to have a knob to a Dewalt miter saw ??..the black knob that screws in and locks the degree marker at the degree you want it at...the model is dw703 (10")but the one off of my dw705 (12" model ) fits as well....thanks guys...:thumbup:
