Does anybody want a free WRX wagon shell?

I am building an 818. I have a build thread on thefactoryfiveforum.com Same user name. I'll look at grassroots, thanks. Quarters look perfect. It started silver. Currently rattle can black. I'd be willing to cut them, sure. I'd start a build thread here, but I'd be ashamed to post in the same...

Does anybody want a free WRX wagon shell?

I'm starting a serious car project, and I have a 2006 Subaru WRX wagon shell I don't need. I'd hate to cut a perfectly fine body apart to take to scrap, but unless someone has grand LeMons plans, or a wrecked shell they want to spend 4 days swapping over, I have no use for it. Free.

Porssat - a race car build to annoy uptight people

Not likely. It's not like you ruined a Porsche, it's only a 996. It only counts if it's air cooled. :lol_hitti Fantastic work by the way. I'm seriously impressed.

    Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT The 12-Gauge Garage

Re: My bolt-on 911 aero: it will never be pretty, but now it's much easier to pack I want to say, I like the stone chips. At least on your car. On mine . . . not so much. :3gears:

Pop rivets, well, didn't pop. Suggestions?

I promise I will. A couple of drops in the inlet. Thank you!

Pop rivets, well, didn't pop. Suggestions?

So I cleaned the gun (again) and turned the pressure down to 90 (from 110). It worked much better, failing 1 out of 50 instead of 1 out of 10. I don't think the cleaning did much, because I cleaned it before. I think the pressure made a big difference. Thank you for your help.

Pop rivets, well, didn't pop. Suggestions?

I have a pneumatic pop riveter for a project I'm working on. A few of the stems didn't come off, though the rivet is tight. I moved on, and tried my hand pop riveter to remove them. It worked for one. Both riveters seem to have trouble grabbing the pins. Any good ides to remove them that won't...

Ever do something so stupid you wonder if you should be left unsupervised?

I posted this in a different thread, but it fits here too. "I dropped a car on my leg". I had an exceptionally rare 3 day weekend, and my wifes heater core had needed replacing for 2 years. I drove the car up onto ramps (in the driveway, front end uphill) to drain the coolant. I'm following...

    Craftsman Screwdriver Handle Modification

I know everyone hates HF (for good reason) but I prefer my HF free square handle screw drivers to my clear handled C-man ones for this very reason. I should give this a try. Welcome to the forum!

    The Eastwood QST-30/60

Probably not. Why not just add or convert to a 240 volt circuit? Unless your garage has something crazy happening, it’s pretty easy.

    The Eastwood QST-30/60

I just bought an upright 60 gal. Used, though. If I find a used one at a 3 digit price, it's coming home with me! Glad there's an affordable scroll compressor out there now.

How much do you have into your tools?

I don't like to think about it, but all in, for all tools, at least $30k but almost certainly less than $100k. Dang, that's a lot of cheddar! And none is for my profession.

Any experience with those AFO fire suppression balls?

Hello! I just got exclusive access to an 800 sq ft shop located remote from my home. I know I need fire suppression when I'm there, and these things look like they'll help when I'm not too. Anybody have any experience? The videos look impressive, but we've all been lied to by cameras before...

    What's the top of a "you ****" prove for a Matco 4325rp?

^ is about what I was thinking. You guys make it sound like trading kids for a box is a bad idea? Are you sure? :lol_hitti

    What's the top of a "you ****" prove for a Matco 4325rp?

What's the top of a "you ****" price for a Matco 4325rp? There's a box near me that I think I could get for a song. I've never had a "tool truck" box, and don't "need" one, but if I knew I got a screaming deal, then I'd buy it. So what is a screaming deal on a 6' box? Thanks everyone. *...

Using a 3 phase compressor in a 1 phase shop?

Thank you all for your insights and opinions. As of now, I'm not going with this setup. The seller became flaky, and I'm too busy to try and chase down flaky. But I did learn a lot about all that goes into changing 3 phase to 1 phase!

Using a 3 phase compressor in a 1 phase shop?

I have a lead on an IR T30 60 gallon 5hp 3 phase compressor from 1996. Do I: 1. Get it and a 5 hp rotary phase converter 2. Get it and swap the motor for a 5 hp single phase 3. Not get it and wait for a single phase to come my way 4. None of the above, and do something I haven't yet considered...
